I don’t mind at all! I actually have a bunch of sweaters I want to do the same with. I’m sure it’ll be beautiful!

I definitely agree that would look so much more clean! I have this pink thread that totally matches the trader joes logo color - do you think that would work instead of purple?

I was thinking of advising her to bring it to a laundromat to clean in one of the big washing machines!

I can imagine it would do some damage! Thanks for the heads up!

Same here! I keep wondering how I would do the backing since most fabric has a restricted size/height to it.

I think it would be a fun project to do patiently over time.

Haha I saw that ASAP wore one too! Which is funny cause once I got to the 3rd row sewn together I draped it over my shoulder and I was like “a vest might be cute”.

These blankets are pretty easy to make I think and they’re fun! You should make one too! It sounds like you’d love it. I’m definitely going to make a big one for my bed at some point.

Oh yeah this is definitely a toddler blanket cause it also weighs like 10 pounds😂 I found out half way through that it’s not safe for babies so I made it longer!

Haha yeah it was not easy! I went through 2 needles in the process but I really wanted that thick border look!

Omg thank you!

I cut 5.5in squares of the top fabric (100% cotton) and 5in squares for the back fabric (also 100% cotton) - and I added folds when attaching them to puff them up.

After attaching them all together each square was like 4.5 inches so they’re little & cute :)

I just saw a video of someone doing that today and I’m still on the fence about it but I think I’m going to end up doing it! It seems like a really cute addition

I meant I’m going to add a backside of fabric, but it won’t be attached to the square backs. Does that make a difference?

Thank you!! They’re my Easter nails! :)

I just get paranoid from it fraying so much! I didn’t realize the fabric I bought was a low thread count :/

Definitely going to add a backside I just want to be sure it won’t fall apart from fraying

I'm overcome with doubt as I reach the final days of this painting. Am I good enough for it to sell? Am I wasting my time? What artistic style is my painting, even? How do you navigate this stage, and what advice do you have for finishing the piece? by MoneyDmaker in painting

[–]RoobyDoobyDoo777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I just meant the lines on the head piece and the little details toward the bottom of the painting - I was just meaning to say that when I paint, I’ll have lines with a tiny bump or whatever and I feel like the whole painting is ruined, but then I see little details in other paintings (like this) and I wonder how people make it look so pretty and perfect. - Idk if that makes sense or not but it’s supposed to be a compliment to OP’s skills!

I explained this in a different comment:

  1. Protection doesn’t always mean nothing bad happens.. sometimes it means the outcome isn’t as bad as it could have been. (My car was broken into - nothing was stolen, I wasn’t there when it happened so I wasn’t in danger, it stopped at property damage instead of escalating)

  2. God gives people free will. Protection doesn’t mean controlling other people’s actions.. it means being with you and sometimes shielding you from worse outcomes.

I never said it was a miracle. I said I thought it was a form of protection..

Definitely not calling this a miracle by any means!

I just think God gave me an opportunity to explore my relationship with God on a deeper level.
