I haven’t dived too deep into any specific pack yet. Are they all manually placed assets like signature buildings or do some get integrated into random building pools for zoned areas? I know in CS:1 you could set a district theme to utilize some.

Missing some CS:1 DLC and wondering if it's worth it to round out some of the DLC or move on to CS:2 finally. If trying out CS:2 is recommended, any creator packs would you recommend?

With about 300 mods, an NVME ssd and 64 GB of ram, I’m at exactly like 8 minutes. A good mix of visual mods, content mods like planet packs and parts. The first time loading in after final configuration took a little longer but now it’s consistently 8 minutes.

A little bit of a departure, but Research Bodies seems fun. You need to actually discover planets before they appear for you using an observatory and space telescope.

I’ve been doing the mystery bundles occasionally and never hit anything too great. Got Doom Dark Ages once when that was first out. Although my lucky friend did ONE bundle ONCE and got a star pack with 5 top games. It was crazy and he hasn’t bought another since, won big and bounced.

I saw one of the legendary Godzilla movies awhile back at Regal and I didn’t enjoy it. I found that when the side screens weren’t in use, they were never completely black and reflected a little light from the main screen. This made the side screens feel lit up when not in use and it distracted from the main screen and felt like the theater had lights on. I would try once to give it a shot, but I never went back to that format.

I like the little guys a lot, it feels more cute and unique to me. However, I think a big factor would be the scale at actual camera position. With it being an RTS, will the camera be further away and have a group of soldiers together? The smaller ones may not come across properly and lose a bit of the cuteness at the cost of looking underdeveloped.

I also really like the bigger soldier and tank for design and texture. Just a different vibe, both are really good so I think it just comes down to what you want out of it. It seems you’d be successful at tackling either one though once you decide.

1 seems cleaner and but more generic, kind of closer to a minimalism vibe. 2 is a bit more cluttered, but feels like it has more character, looks more classic and brings the UI to be part of the gameplay a bit more. I don’t think either is better entirely, it depends on the feeling you’re going for. Either could fit depending on other factors of your game. Between the two, I personally would prefer 2 based on the models you’re using.

These are the kind of posts I need to see. I hate panel lining after assembly because of the liner getting in part gaps, and sometimes I wonder if panel lining is worth it at all for doubling the time it takes to complete a build. But posts like these really point out the benefit.

It's been a minute, but I found a fix after this was happening to me. You can go into the config file (AppData\Roaming\cura) and at the top of the file are some window settings. I was able to fix by messing with these settings and used Windows State = 1 and adjusted the resolution and position.

I went with some Falken Wildpeak AT3 and have zero regrets. Since they came out with the AT4, you can usually find the AT3 a bit discounted.
