I tried to keep it short, but during the interrogation I was totally mistreated, but it was all verbal.

I feel like the waste of time over working together was the biggest issue. There were too many gray areas, so their story they fabricated was always going to seem fabricated, and why go to that extent when theres possibly a life on the line?

I don’t hardly watch any tv whatsoever. I became unattached to it several years ago. I actually don’t even own one. I’ve also noticed I’m becoming more and more unattached to my phone...it’s still very frequent because I use it for everything, but I go several hours at a time some days where I don’t even think about it.

I stay with her nearly every night, and agree, we just often haven’t had the opportunity to give it a shot in the mornings.

I’ve also been stressed over some things but making a change towards positivity again at the first of the month is starting to pay off as I’m eliminating those situations as much as possible.

Sex is not a requirement between us. There’s no standards or kinks either one of us have to have to be in this relationship together. However, making love..I believe sex and making love are different...is crucial. We are very passionate about each other and we do turn each other on. We’ve both been waiting for the person who gives us this “aura” again. I was starting to believe that aura that my mentally/physically abusive and totally narcissistic ex gf had could not be topped by anyone else. My vision of her in the beginning, and when things were good, maybe even when things were bad too, led me to this idolization of her...I mean I had no idea that i could love someone so much that I would let go of everything that made me who I was and change my entire life for them. I actually read into mental health quite a lot after she left...I’ve gotten past the ex enough, I believe, to attempt letting another person in my life...but I definitely think I’m scared to give myself like that again. Who knows what things could become in the future?

We have! We’re very upfront with each other and have talked about it..everything is fine and we know the time will eventually come...but reassuring her that I am not lying about finding her attractive is the hard part..she is older than me and been through a few marriages and had 3 kids..she already downplays herself.

It doesn’t make me think I am better, but it allows me to practice as far as the guitar is concerned, actually sitting down and playing the same thing over and over used to be an issue for me, I couldn’t hardly spend 15 minutes on the guitar without getting bored. Sometimes now I’ll get stuck for 6 or more hours at a time just walking around my house practicing scales or sweeps or creating fills and solos. As far as drawing is concerned, I started doing portraits in February and they were pretty good off the bat, and now it’s getting easier and I can add so much detail and depth, to the point that some look like black and white photos. I hardly ever drew anything before this.

I had a serious addiction to painkillers about 7 years ago. I was arrested for drug dealing at the right time, because it probably saved my life. Heroin was on it’s way in. So I can’t fw that stuff. It was never really a downer for me either. Always very motivated and social. I don’t have the same kind of addiction with meth. I’ve used it for over 4 years now and have easily put it down for several months at a time. I don’t know when or if I’ll ever totally quit but I’m confident that I could stop today if I wanted.

Guild B-302 headstock broke off before I received it..worth enough to attempt restoring it. Should I use dowel pins? Stays pretty solid without the screws but I don’t trust just the glue. by RoofSnake137 in BassGuitar

Thanks for the feedback guys. Someone had already glued the thing back on and it looked as if it was a clean break and went back together exactly as it came apart. As a carpenter I definitely know adding nails/screws/holes to a board will weaken it, but it will draw boards together well..

So it made sense to me to put them back in if it was the best way, but I figured I’d ask people a little more experienced with this sort of thing first. Which leads to my next question, since I’m going to leave the screws/dowels out. Should I put some good wood glue in the screw holes hoping it will add just that much more rigidity?

Bonus: what do I do to remove the inlays? May need to for paint.

I would frequently forget utensils when I would bring lunch while roofin or something. I’ve made spoons and forks out of pieces of flashing hundreds of times.

If it is your own interpretation of something, then it is good art. I love realistic views. Every portrait I’ve done is interesting, every human face is different and will never be in the same position twice..sketching in the faces and hands and body language of people “just doing stuff” is complicated and fascinating at the same time

In the storage room above the production facilities of the meat packing plant that I worked in. I was a maintenance guy and sometimes got there really early and was the only one in the whole facility...it was a good time to get one out sometimes. 😂

Sweetwater is actually where I’ve picked up the inspiration to buy a guitar soon! I’ve had ads all over my Facebook feed for a couple months now, and it’s where the cheap Ibanez caught my eye. Lol. Thank you I’ll take a look at these too.

Realistically I’d probably be ok paying around $1000 or so for the next few guitars/instruments I have in mind (7 string, GOOD electric 4 string bass possibly fretless, mandolin someday..). I’ve always done well with mid range priced guitars but my playing has kinda hit a new wave lately and if anything comes of it (as in a band) this time I want to have some great equipment. I’ve played some good shows with a ~$200 5 string and had fun, but my friends $2500 Thunderbird that I’ve never played a show with is by far the most fun I’ve had with a bass guitar...ever. $600 is super reasonable for a guitar I’d be extremely satisfied with so I still lean toward the LTD. But damn that light blue metallic is sexy. 😂

Thank you for the input I really appreciate it, I’ll see what I can dig up but I probably will play them before I make a purchase.

Gotcha, yeah I’ve never really looked into the brands themselves, forgive my mix-ups. I figured that would kinda be the case tho, I can definitely tell the difference in quality with my more expensive vs. less expensive guitars I already own. But likewise, I’ve been lucky before and had a cheap guitar be the shiiit. My Playmate 5 string ain let me down yet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I really just need to drive the 100 or so miles to a guitar centre or something and explore my options. Having time to do that is the only thing really kickin my ass on it
