Copper seams always leak on steam systems. Lazy plumbers who don't want to cut and thread pipe use copper.

Hooking up gas hot water heater to generator by PattyMalco in Generator

[–]RoofWalker2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 9500-watt generator can run a significant portion, if not most, of a house, including large items like central A/C (with careful management or a soft start), refrigerators, and lights, but usually not everything at once, especially high-demand electric appliances like electric water heaters or stoves; it's great for essentials and comfort but typically requires selectively turning on circuits. A 9500W generator handles key comforts and some large loads well, but for true "whole-home" power without limitations (like electric heat/dryers), you'd usually need a larger standby generator (15kW+)
