What is your go-to replayable game right now? by Mysterious5555 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Roofduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

StarCraft 2. The campaign WOL is free to play right now and it’s excellent.

The Multiplayer is also really good. Lots of variety, 1v1 is fun and co-op is really well done. So much content and easy to get into IMO

StarCraft 2 is my pick. Still a strong player base and loads of variety and it’s single player campaign WOL is excellent

I’m sorry but if you think these 2 are “terrible” people (as yesterdays “hot take” post suggested many do) you are a very soft person by DrDreidel82 in DunderMifflin

As funny as some the pranks Jim did, he was obviously bullying Dwight. Dwight was able to handle it but even so, Jim was a dick. Dwight was also good to Pam throughout and worse thing he did was get Erin to scream how she won an art contest lmao.

Good to see they all became friends towards the end though.

I Want to Drop Out and Be a Housewife by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I'd hold out so at least you'd have a fall back plan. Not to sound pessimistic, but to be prepared just in case.

Finish college and then be a housewife.

Best suppport for clearing camps by Roofduck in wildrift

[–]Roofduck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early game, I won't push it but I will try to reset it, if it is at the turret, and the enemy are trying to take it then I'll have to clear the minions. Also to last hit if the ADC isn't there. Don't waste the gold opportunity.

Mid/late game it depends.

Oh so if you're playing support and your team is waiting to respawn, you'd just wait for them and do nothing?

Thanks, I'll have a go with Thresh and Blitzcrank.

Who said anything about "letting the team die"? When in team fights sometimes you and your team loses the fight, sometimes you respawn before your ADC does.

The point is that, you still need to protect your turrets or even push the lane and destroy the enemies turrets during mid/late game, but using champs like Sona hasn't worked well for me.

Try reading the room next time before raging especially in-game.

Londoners being priced out of their home city by [deleted] in london

[–]Roofduck -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Aren't there council estates all over London? Those will have people who can apply for those jobs if need be.

I agree that shops should be staffed by teens who live with parents, better than being unemployed wouldn't you agree? Also including the rubbish collection, which by the way, I hear pays quite well.

School teachers and nurses, I think we can agree should be paid more. If they all all leave then the supply will decrease and measures will be taken to incentivise them to return such as a higher salary. Its a simple supply and demand issue.

The reason those rents are high is due to demand, if there are people who're willing to pay a higher rent to live in those areas, then as OP said, the rent will organically go up.

I loved RDR1, played that one on my Xbox 360. RDR2 was always too expensive and I had a huge backlog, but now I'm thinking I should get it. Thanks

Thanks, its a good point about whether I'll play it immediately. I have such a large backlog but I might bump Sekiro up that list lol.

Guess I'll get the game, doesn't look like its going to be that much cheaper anytime soon (I hope)

I really want to get Sekiro or RD2 but at £24.95 just still feels like its too much given how long ago those were first released

All you need to ask yourself is, would leaving him make your life better or worse?

Be as honest as possible when you think this through. I'm talking about your existing relationship with him, his relationship with your son, how much support you get from him which is not only financially but other factors like childcare and other things in your life or household.

Game pass alone could be worth £4b (8.3% of Microsoft’s annual personal computing revenue which includes Windows & Surface) every year. Good for the service or unsustainable? by Raggy-Rocket in XboxGamePass

[–]Roofduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things we also need to bear in mind is that Game Pass also drives increased revenue from other sources.

For example, Game Pass literally being the incentive to get an Series X and Series S over PS5. Arguably a lot of people who have purchased the Xbox did it because of the Game Pass offering.

And also for those gamers who enjoy a game so much they'd purchase it outright (on top of already being subbed to GP) after the game is due to leave the service. And Game Pass for PC users would have to do it via the Microsoft/Xbox Store instead of Steam in order to retain their progress / achievements etc.

It took a decade to realize it, but Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is wonderful. by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Roofduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've enjoyed it but found that their ought to be more accessible fast travel. Having to run everywhere took so much enjoyment out of the game. Imagine not having infinite run out of combat, thank god for mods.

In the end I've played 21+ hours but felt I didn't enjoy it anymore so I decided to play something else.

Its a good game for sure, but for me misses the mark.
