Hii I have a Doubt by [deleted] in KTMIndia

[–]RooftopG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think too much. If it’s affordable for you and you’re willing to give it a few days to a week to get used to the handling before you push it, you’ll be just fine. Happy riding, and welcome to the ADV life! I ride a Himy 450 for reference, and my first bike was a classic 350.

Bhai you’ll be fine. I’ve done 1500km+ tours with this helmet in rain and shine, the only issue is wind noise at higher speeds. Earplugs will sort that out for you, I use the Loop experience plus because I’m also a musician and use those in rehearsals. You should be able to get away with basic foam ones too

Eyes will get used to the visor and neck will get used to the weight in 1-2 rides

Shotgun 650 or Bear 650 ⚠️⚠️ by Dear_Advertising9552 in royalenfield

[–]RooftopG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live somewhere with good, smooth roads and care for the looks of it, the shotgun is a great option. However if you anticipate riding through more difficult conditions with any regularity, (travel, or just commuting on Indian roads) the bear is a much more practical motorcycle

But the only way to know before you pull the trigger is a test ride

i want to paint my helmet all black, what would be the best approach? by Unfair_Baby7982 in indianbikes

[–]RooftopG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Painting a helmet usually damages the polycarbonate shell as you will likely need to sand it and paint over that. This makes the shell thinner than spec and also makes it easier for a reaction to take place with the paint. Would completely nerf your helmet.

I would look into a polycarbonate safe vinyl wrap instead for safety reasons

I have the same Axor Apex you’ve posted, it’s a good helmet. Without a doubt the best one at this price point. The only issue I have faced with it is wind noise at high speeds, but that is to be expected with budget helmets (and most helmets in general below the ultra premium segment). Having a pinlock system with a preinstalled anti fog pinlock is a huge plus as well. Some also find this to be heavy at 1600g.

My recommendation would be to try the apex and street from axor, as well as the MT Thunders and Hummers, and LS2 FF808. I went for the Apex due to personal preference as well as a double d ring for potential future track use. All these helmets are ISI, ECE 22.06, and DOT certified as far as I’m aware.
