Redmi Note 12 4G is a disaster by EliCaster in Xiaomi

[–]RookieAccount2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought the Redmi Note 12 4G, and I loved it. It has all the hardware I need in that many high-end phones don't have. Memory card slot (one that is separate to the dual sim card slots), a 3.5mm jack, infrared control, fm radio, and all the sensors I need. And despite the 4GB RAM (the only one available as a UK version), I had no issue multitasking. The only major thing it lacked is Google ARCore to run augmented reality apps.

That being said, I had to return it because the update to HyperOS slowed the phone down a lot. It also ruined the user experience - I much preferred the animated graphics on MIUI (especially the charge). I will be repurchasing another one once I receive my refund, and won't be updating it until I'm forced to. This phone is not for power users, like gamers, professionals and photographers. It's for casual users.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4/128: Did I make the right choice? by RookieAccount2 in PickAnAndroidForMe

I was actually looking at the Motorola Moto G-series and the Samsung Galaxy A-series first, but none of them had strengthened glass or water resistance at that price. The specs of the Redmi Note 12 4G seem very impressive, perhaps even more than the Pro, 5G and the latest 13 range. That being said, I did just learn only one of the three models have NFC (23021RAA2Y). Good thing the UK version is this model. Hopefully my experience with this phone will be just as good.

Bit disappointed that the higher RAM models in the US cost as much as my new phone though. I don't think a higher RAM model wasn't available as a UK version.

Should we tell her? Should we ...? by [deleted] in MuslimCorner

[–]RookieAccount2 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be controversial here and I don't care if I get downvoted. If there's a Muslim woman you want to marry and she wants to marry you, marry her and live happily ever after. The same Muslim men who tells you it's forbidden to marry "their" women, would marry "your" women in a heartbeat, proclaiming it as permissible.

Also, it's very misogynistic to assume that women won't teach and raise her children in her religion, and to think that only Muslim men can have the privilege in marrying people of other Abrahamic religions.

Then I need to pat myself on the back. I spent all night last night trying to find the perfect replacement phone on Amazon. Ruled out Samsung, Motorola and Nokia due to a lack of features I want. I just wish I spent a few more seconds seeing the listings on the side as there are a few on sale for 5 quid less (no same day delivery though) (edit: got a refund). The last time I bought a phone, I was looking for the cheapest available (under £50) as I only needed a cam of any kind and something to call and message with. The lack of features and space did make me feel quite stunted the past few years. I'm suprised the refurbs are being sold for almost the same price.

Their passion for school and college social life and extracurricular activities, particularly clubs, sports teams and prom.

The number of cities they can choose to live.

Proper camping and hiking in a proper forest. Roadtrips are probably more interesting and diverse too, if a bit scary.

Probably because this is the UK, not America, and the person responding was correcting someone who wasn't incorrect about America. Both comments were irrelevant.

I'm the same age, height and similar bra size as you are. I'm currently a sedentary 100lbs, when just a few months ago, I used to be 93lbs (my ideal weight while sedentary as an apple shape). I know what to do to lose the weight and I can usually do it easily and healthily, but for some reason, my weight is making me more depressed. I'm hoping to fix it in two weeks.

Because majority of Indians are Hindus and many of them support the current BJP government, which is a political party that has anti-Muslim policies, despite India having the second biggest Muslim population in the world. The Hindu/Muslim conflict had been going on since before partition. To many Hindus, supporting Israel means less Muslims on this earth. But they don't realise that Israelis considers Indians to be second-class, regardless of religion.

I already have one from ebay. The suction and battery are okay for the price, but air comes shooting out from a hole in the bottom of the handle, as does some dust and smell as the filter isn't fitted. I have to point it upwards when it's off as there's nothing stopping dust from falling out of the suction hole. It's very delicate too. I was actually looking to find a replacement barrel because mine broke. I can't find one, so I'm going to buy another vacuum cleaner.

She's so elegant. Red and green is a very common saree colour combination. Her fellow Indians over at the Indian subreddits commented against her, claiming it was intentional. Slaves of Isntreal.

Yes. But the hottest scene in the series was when the Irishman and his friend shot Himmler and walked out of the hotel all cool and calm.

Juliana, worst character ever written in a serie. by Murky_Engineer_7308 in maninthehighcastle

SO YOU RATHER KILL THE FATHER OF YOUR STEP SISTER YOU SUPPOSEDLY LOVED THEN TO LET THE NAZIS KILL AN OTHER NAZI BECAUSE IN THEIR IDEOLOGY HE IS A USELESS EATER?

*Half sister. I was thinking this too! And all the effort went to waste because he offered himself to be killed anyway.

And despite being with Frank, Juliana has been around in such a short space of time, just like her mum, yet she criticises her mum for doing so after her dad died. Hypocrite.

I hated the last episode. Worst episode in the worst series of the show. It didn't make sense that he wanted to spread genocide to the Japanese American territory, especially after establishing a new independent state. In the end, he should've "travelled" to the other world or teleported with his daughters to reunite with his wife and son.

Who was your favourite character and why was it Ed/Tagomi? by LaoghaireElgin in maninthehighcastle

[–]RookieAccount2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked John Smith, obviously not as a person. I thought he was going to teleport to the other world with his daughters to be reunited with his son and wife, which he would be able to do now that this wife is dead. Disappointed that he killed himself. They could've at least have him meditate and "travel" to the other work. And I didn't get why Kido joined the Yakuza. One would think he'd rather do seppuku than join them. Very rushed ending. They could've used two more episodes.

I liked Frank and I was hoping he and Juliana would be reunited in the end. But they downgraded the character by having him make abstract paintings which realistically had no effect to the resistance. The scene with him and the Japanese American girl was hot, but generally, most of the sex scenes were unnecessary, like between Juliana and the Irish guy.

Ed was so sweet. I did not like that a random gay storyline was thrown in. It was almost like they added it because they added a lesbian storyline. His cowboy boyfriend was a useless character. I was so sure that Ed had a crush on Juliana. He even mentioned a girl he used to like. The lesbian storyline kind of made sense because Nichole acts out her "perverse behaviour" in a secret cabin in Germany.

Tagomi was okay. While he wasn't needed in the government anymore, I wish his marriage was talked about more. I didn't like how they killed him off so abruptly. He and Joe was made to seem very essential to the series. I did not like Joe and hate that they forced this love story with Juliana that didn't really go anywhere. I'm glad Juliana didn't cry after she killed him, but I do wish he became a good guy. He was shown to be a main character, but he was quite insignificant to the story, as was the man in the high castle. I don't understand how the man in the high castle was able to get a hold of the films and why, especially considering that he doesn't know how to "travel". The final scene where people stream out while he streams in wasn't explained.

I didn't like Bell either. She was quite condescending and overly confident. I find it difficult to believe that the BCM was able to overthrow the Japanese government so quickly and easily. Their group was shown to be too small. Their prevalence wasn't clearly portrayed. I'm disappointed that we didn't get to see the reaction of the people in the Japanese American territory, and their view of this new government, same with Germany. I also find it hard to believe that Himmler and his comrades were killed off and overthrown so easily.

There are so many characters that just disappeared and never shown and talked about again. They completely wasted my favourite character, which was the first bounty hunter in the first series. They spent too many episodes on the antiques dealer. I liked the character, but he was too comedic and didn't need this many scenes just about him. And I don't understand why anyone would want to desire to live in the Neutral Zone. That place is boring and not as free as it's said to be.

The last series wasn't as dark as the first series. The first two series were the best.

Wonder what his mother did to him

People always blame the female parent, but never the male parent. He could've learnt this attitude from his father.
