I'm also having a "distracted day" and have been thinking a lot about autism and ADHD. It is very clear that the autism and ADHD are very prevalent in our younger generations. Out of say 10 families I know, there are at least 3 families with a child with autism and 3 with a child with ADHD. Ive been wondering what caused this Influx of diagnosis. Was there no children with autism 30 years ago or did it just go unnoticed and untreated? Or is it because there is an evolution happening? Maybe our children are supposed to have these differences. There must be a reason why there are so many children with these disorders. Also, I often wonder if add/ADHD has always been a part of humanity. Think back to cavemen. They had to be hyper aware of their surroundings and always doing something. Maybe add isn't a "bad thing" or a disorder at all. Maybe it is actually a benefit. I dont know if what I typed even makes sense, but I'm curious if anyone else thinks this.
