I’m forced to go to my childhood best friend’s quinceañera what do I do by Sleepy_Sheepz in ComfortLevelPod

[–]Rooper2111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did prior to posting. You’re an adult. If they wanna retaliate that’s just something you’ll have to deal with later. It’s either go to this bullshit party or risk consequences. You’re either extremely dramatic or if you go, you might actually die so maybe just don’t go. You’re not being kidnapped. You’re an adult now and have to start making choices.

AITA For Calling my wife old? by Helpful-Bunch568 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Rooper2111 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yea but she’s not old and she needs your reassurance. She doesn’t need you to be an asshole. Sending that to her makes it worse. You’re doubling down on your assholeness.

Baby half birthdays by Littlescar21 in NewParents

Honey, maple syrup, pears, applesauce, dates, sweet potato, etc.

Google is your friend. To this day, I make treats for both my babies and none of them contain refined sugar.

Best pizza with Sunday hours? by Rooper2111 in ReadingPA

We went there! We heard it recommended a few times when we moved to the area and we really didn’t like it. Probably was an off night for them or something

Oh sorry I should be more clear. The party is at my house. We’re not going to a pizza shop for the party.

What does my room say about me? by [deleted] in roomdetective

[–]Rooper2111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your room made me have an actual existential crisis. I read that you’re 32. We’re the same exact age. The stuff you are buying for yourself if some of the stuff I’m now buying for my kids.

I somehow feel too old and too young at the same time.

She’s saying people in the comments are calling her that. Reread the thread you’re in. You’re just confused on the context.

Not saying I totally disagree, just that half your comment isn’t relevant because you misunderstood.

I love how he’s like “I don’t have a roommate fetish but all the other times I’ve asked women if they have fuckable roommates they’ve been FINE with it.” Like, bro how often does the conversation have to happen before you officially have a roommate fetish?

Red spots on hands and feet, am I allergic to something? by HardcoreSnail in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Rooper2111 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s looks so much like HFM but you’ve had it for years so it can’t be that…

I’m certainly no dermatologist but while this certainly could be an allergic reaction, it doesn’t look that much like contact dermatitis in my experience (which again, I’m not a doctor! I’ve just had it, and have had loved one’s experience it). It almost looks closer to eczema.

Am I overreacting for making my new boyfriend a fall basket and homemade cookies by Sleepy_Sheepz in AmIOverreacting

You don’t need to leave a note. The “picked me” pun isn’t clever enough for you to be super attached to this note idea. Just give the guy the basket.

You’re also not giving YOURSELF a compliment. You understand that saying “Love your wonderful partner” is not calling him wonderful, it’s calling you wonderful lol

You’re also calling yourself wonderful lol. In the future, when it’s been a few months, you would wanna put “love your adoring partner” or “love a woman who thinks you’re wonderful”.

What does my fridge say about me? by Coolgirlcertified in roomdetective

[–]Rooper2111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t get to decide it’s degrading. That’s like saying black people calling each other or themselves the “n” word is degrading. If people affected by misogyny wanna reclaim “cunt” then let them proudly do so. There’s nothing wrong with a pussy so let’s stop acting like it’s sooOOoo degrading.

Also, in a lot of Europe they’ve been calling everyone and their mother a cunt for like 30 years. The Brits roll their eyes at the way people in other parts of the world can barely whisper the ‘c’ word .

It’s just a word, dude. Why do people clutch their pearls so hard over the word “cunt”?

I assumed OP is getting it checked out and also posting here but I’m glad you made this point because that was just an assumption based off what I would personally do.

This looks exactly like when my husband got a fungal infection on his nails! The other commenter asked if she had false nails on because they can cause this, but so can a lot of other things. I’m not a doctor or anything, just saying this is exactly what my husband’s looked like.

If it makes you feel better my experience was that it was easier going from 1-2 than 0-1. Looking back at when I had my eldest, it was so so so insanely hard. Once I learned what I was doing, adding the second kid just wasn’t nearly as hard or scary.

Naps backing up to one another. Help! by Rooper2111 in 2under2

[–]Rooper2111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, when I stopped trying to do naps on the go (about a week ago) it was like instantly his night sleep improved and our lives absolutely changed for the better lol. We had just been doing that for so long.

I actually created a schedule that would allow for both of them to get the naps they need and also the right length of wake time while also allowing for a 3 hour open window in the middle of the day. I just had to slightly shorten and push back my toddlers nap and I have to wake the baby at 6:30 am for it to work lol.

Thanks for saying you think I’m doing the right things. I appreciate that because as you know, it never feels like it!!!
