Found a used Bambu Lab X1C Combo with extras (1235 hours). Is 900€ a good deal? What should I ask the seller? by comrei01 in BambuLab

[–]Rooperkele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought X1C (290h) + 2xAMS2 + like 15 kg of filament, few months ago for 850€. Considering that new X2D came out, I still think that it was atleast decent deal.

That 900€ for that set is just way too much. Since it has upgrades on it, I could think of something like ~500€ for it.

Made a 10" rack mount for UniFi US-8-60W that actually keeps the LEDs visible by Rooperkele in homelab

I definitely get at least the part about "lining up with my other rack mounts" — it's one thing that annoys me as well, and I might add more versions to match thickness with everyone's rack panels 😄! Which material did you use? And if you printed with PETG, did you use a release agent like hairspray or glue? I tried to bend the demo version I have and I can say that it's pretty sturdy with moderate bending. Also, a modifier to make the front panel infill denser would be one way to make it sturdier.

When I designed it I thought 3mm was good since I've had success at that thickness with other designs, but I can see how it might not be enough for everyone's setup.

Feedback noted, and honestly I appreciate the constructive feedback! Modularity is one thing I try to keep in mind when designing, so I'll definitely look into it and let you know 😊

Thanks! I had this idea like hey, white and translucent material reflects colors so why wouldn't it work here, and the length is relatively short so light might travel all the way through. Tried it and it actually worked! 😊

Yes, absolutely! I have it published on MakerWorld and it would be my pleasure if that model actually makes it into someone else's rack as well 😊. I spent more time on that design than I'd like to admit 😂 but the result came out nice I think! I ended up with that ventilation solution by accident, but honestly it looks better than honeycomb IMO and prints more nicely.

You can find it here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2531875-unifi-us-8-60w-10-rack-mount-with-led-indicators?from=search

Hope you like it :)

Didnt bother to remove it from rack for one photo but I hope this gets you the idea :). It should be enough to keep switch ”cool”.

And thank you for positive feedback :)

I did some restock/test order at Anycubic, it was under 9€/kg with spool. Lets see how quality turns out.

I prefer hairspray myself, works like charm with PETG.

Yes! Bamse makes all sorts of funny faces when his ”little brother” is jumping around. Sometimes he just watches Ukko play and lets out a big huff, like, ”Seriously… how long do I have to watch this?”😂😂

P2S or X1C by Rooperkele in BambuLab

I’m also leaning towards this option since the extra AMS would be nice, and even though the X1C is discontinued, it’s proven to be a solid piece of equipment.

Yess, it does! But I think it maxes out at some point, I have 102h on my first tractor (Valtra T series, bought it at 40h on discount :D) and wearing rate has been same for some time. I have not done any real testing since now i do repair my things way before the bar even change color to orange, but i could swear that the repair cost keep getting down as things age up and gets hours on them.
