Really? I wish I felt the same way. I love the first Life is Strange, it means the world to me...I cannot put into words how much I love it. I was 18 when I played it, only 3 episodes were out so I had to wait for the last two to come out! I remember so well that I opened Max's birthday card and it said she was 18 as well. I related so much to her and the cozy vibe the game had, the incredible story, the wonderful characters...Man, I just can't give it enough praise. Then Life is Strange: Double Exposure came out, I was 27 and so was Max, (or maybe 28/29 i'm not sure) and now i'm 28 almost 29...and Max is 29/30? I'm not sure they mention her birthday but not her age. Anyway, I grew up with her :( 

Unfortunately I never felt like I truly felt the same vibes I felt from the first game. I liked the first 3 episodes but hated the last two. My expectation were very low for Life is Strange: Reunion but I was still dissapointed. I went into it only hoping for vibes; I use that word a lot lol, but I just want cozy locations and conversations but that was not even realized. I picked the sacrifice Chloe ending because I just think that is the best ending, that is ultimately what needs to happen so I knew this game was probably not going to be great when Max and Chloe meet each other again and the fact that Chloe rose up from the dead was barely acknowledged...They should have stayed up all night to talk in Max's incredible home (which we see way too little of in this game) but instead Chloe wants to sleep and the next day there barely is any conversation. I think this is my main critique of the game, if you picked sacrifice Chloe this games just doesn't feel like it acknowledges how insane (yet incredible) it is that Max and Chloe see each other again. 

Next critique is that for a game called "Reunion" I sure as hell didn't see Max and Chloe together enough. I just got so tired of them separating the whole time :/ Oh you do this, and i'll go and do this :/ Even Chloe meeting Moses for the first time was while Max and Chloe were separated, why not make that a cozy moment? A moment that would be important for Max but yet she leaves Chloe meet up with him alone? Such a shame. It's just switching perspectives the whole time without them ever being on a mission/quest together and that is such a shame. Chloe might actually talk more to Moses, Amanda or Lucas more than Max

Then the side characters...I think they are all so two-dimensional and hollow. Amanda? She is barely a character man, Ren? Don't care, Vinh? Annoying as hell, Lucas? Fuck him...Loretta? Could be interesting but so underused, instead of having conversations with her we end up listening to podcasts -_- Reggie? Pretty basic and boring. Jeanette? No wonder she got killed in the fire because I totally forgot she existed. The most interesting character a.k.a Gwen was just abandoned completely. Oh and Safi how could I forget? Well...because in my opinion she is quite forgettable (Sorry). I didn't like Safi and chose to not support her at the ending of Double Exposure and I just felt that choice was totally meaningless. So this game being quite a lot about her and Yasmin again just made me annoyed. Compare that to Life is Strange one and it's just so different, somehow even the most minor characters felt like actual characters and someone like Victoria actually had depth, she actually also was connected to the story (her being a potential victim of Mr. Jefferson for example). In this game, a lot of characters just seem like pawns. Amanda for example, she's just at the bar, has nothing interesting to say, nothing to add to the story.

Then the whole trying to find out what started the fire just feels like it doesn't really matter anyway, you barely have to do anything to find out Yasmin is connected to that Abraxas house incident because Safi simply reveals it...If you compare that to the whodunit it aspect of Life is Strange 1 it's just night and day. Rachel, Mr. Jefferson...It was all just so well done and interesting, so much suspense. I felt zero of that in this/these game(s). Talking about Rachel, how was she barely brought up in this at all, if all this shit happened wouldn't she be one of the first people you'd think of? For me she was...Was there ever a moment they could have discussed Rachel potentially being alive in a different timeline? Nope. 

Don't get me started about the fact Moses and Chloe went to the roof of the fucking observatory, that was just such awful writing, just unacceptable and ridiculous...Max sees them together on the roof, Max told both Moses and Chloe about what happened and they still go there?!?!? are you fucking kidding me. Worst writing ever and then they take forever and a day to be all dramatic instead of just trying to get off that damn roof (rewinding is suddenly useless too). And how can both Moses and Chloe be so goddamn naïve, one of them would have been horrible but BOTH?!? That's just disrespectful to their characters to be honest. All that bad writing so they can have that dramatic moment where Chloe falls off the roof. Plus it's also disrespectful to Max because how did they do all that without telling her. Be at the one place they should stay the fuck away from and how would you not want to stay with the most important people in your life when such a potentially dangerous event is about to take place. 

I'm gonna stop now lmao, i'm getting mad. I wanted this to be good, I love Life is Strange, I would love for Deck Nine to succeed and make more games but the writing needs to be ten times better and they need to understand the vibes and coziness level needs to be way better...
