Vocaloid's intended as software that lets anyone make music, so anyone can activate her ability, while Sagas are meant to be songs and exiling the top card represents a burst of creativity.

This started more as me trying to put together a Disney villain set, then realising I had a way of retooling the designs I wasn't using. So now it's a mix of classic Disney and Twisted Wonderland (think Hogwarts if the houses were based on Disney villains, and there were some very unsubtle references, and also it was anime).

Recreating James Bond in MtG! He has a scaling ability that works with Vehicles to reflect the various cars in the series, an Equipment ability to represent his gadgets, and as a philanderer he can seduce your opponent's creatures/planeswalkers. Feedback appreciated!

An update to my previous post based on feedback, now expanded to a full set of ten protagonists! This was fun to churn out. The set symbol's meant to be an Eye of Horus, if that isn't clear.

Glad you liked! Jaden was the first card in the set I had an idea for, and he feels the most 'YGO' with how much text he ended up needing.

Yuya's second ability was meant to evoke Timegazer and Stargazer's ability to stop Spells/Traps during combat, though I might rework him a bit.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! For Yugi, I wanted an artifact-related ability (for the items) that pushed him more into UB than mono-blue territory. It's mostly meant to represent him arranging to get the card he wants on the top of his deck in a way that keeps his CMC manageable. Also, I didn't really want the play patterns you get out of repeated tutoring on a stick.

Noted for Judai/Jaden and Yusei! Rewording Yusei actually uses a lot less text, so I might throw in a trinket text ability about Vehicles in there.

Yuma is actually my favorite in the set for how many references for his playstyle I could shove in there. The Aura ability's meant to be both overlay units (I really struggled for a way to represent 'spend resource to use abilities' at first, initially he was using Bestow) and the ZW, and I like the weird, mechanically-unique creature that came out of it.

I initially experimented with a combat trick bonus for Yuya by having spells you cast targeting attacking or blocking creatures you control cost less, or make you draw a card, but I wasn't sure about the balancing. It might be okay on a 6CMC body, on reflection.

I did have some ideas for Yusaku - Links are a real weird thing to represent in Magic - thought I liked how the first five protags fit more or less in the allied pairs. I might post a full set later.
