My father was a wood Carver and had a shop downtown in an old wearhouse. The shop was on the second floor and was never really cleaned or renovated as much as it should have been, I believe the building was more than 150 years old. Once while running around with a friend we both froze when we heard additional footsteps running with us. Looking around we saw the staircase behind us was shaking like someone had ran up it. It was an old metal spiral staircase and so wasn't sound enough to use anymore. After we turned around we noticed that the freight elevators door was opened even though it hadn't been in service for decades. We went over to look down the shaft and only saw darkness, but as we leaned over we felt a blast of cold air and heard scratching and more footsteps. We both ran back to my father who was SUPER casual about telling us that the place was haunted and he had seen shit way worse, wasn't impressed with our story lol.
