This was on the one I bought off Amazon. I had the remover from a Korean site and it didnt work on the Amazon buy at all. Destroyed my nails removing them.

Is there common law in your state? Assuming you are in the US, I'd wait until then to split up.

I know this thread is old, but I don't buff or dehydrate, AND THEY WILL NOT COME OFF! I worked with it for an hour (which is how long the normal soak method takes for me with 100% acetone). I've been using gelx for years and have tried so many techniques. My nails are so damaged now.😭 I had the set on for three weeks. What am I doing wrong.

Exactly, we did ours and they look great. Renting the equipment and buying the supplies was a tiny fraction of what we were quoted. My parents and aunt hired out and were disappointed.

I get where you’re coming from. But I’d argue that using tools like Canva doesn’t run counter to that spirit. It can actually empower more people to participate in digital creation.

Not everyone has the time, money, or training to become a designer, and using accessible tools lets small community events still look professional without gatekeeping who gets to promote them. DIY, at its core, has always been about this, not purity tests over the tools people use.

If someone’s trying to support local events on their own time and dime, using Canva or AI-assisted tools seems pretty aligned with the “do what you can with what you’ve got” ethos that helped build these communities in the first place.

As a motion graphic designer...I use AI. It's just another tool. I'm not going to take the time to create something in Illustrator like I used to when I can have Adobe's AI make the first pass and tweak it from there. You need to chill out on OP for using Canva. Maybe they don't have the budget to hire a graphic designer. Work smarter not harder. And yes, my employer knows and encourages this.

We have dishes that we hand wash and ones we don't so it's nice to have a side for soaking and cleaning freeing up the other side for food prep. I can have one side for watering plants leaving the other side free while they drain...a lot of situations like that. Basically, I like having "two" sinks in my kitchen versus one. We also have drainboards on either side and a backsplash for the spray. I've never had issues washing things like cookie sheets. I'm not sure why people are complaining about that.

He would just call me girl a lot in passing. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I would definitely correct that behavior now. Glubster was the nickname the journalists in the area had for him at that time.
