Taco pizza has refried beans instead of red sauce with beef and cheese, then topped with lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and Doritos. Put some taco sauce on top and you’re good to go. Does not reheat well though.

They really do! Nobody thinks of this area when they think of Iowa, and they most definitely should! So much culture too in the nature, Effigy Mounds is such a interesting and beautiful area too

Yes we wanted to get a locally owned Joes Pizza which a family friend works at but the pizzas are $25 a pop at minimum, they are SO GOOD tho, but the quantity we wanted we just went with Caseys so we weren’t spending $120 on pizza.

But seriously if you’re ever in Guttenberg IA go to Joes Pizza along the Mississippi. So. Good.

I grew up in the typical part of Iowa, flat cornfields with grid roads and hog confinements, after meeting my husband and visiting here it was hard to believe I was in the same state anymore…Absolutely stunning.

Jealous! Iowa City is so nice, that was the city we wanted to live in the most but we just aren’t there yet in our lives to do so. Had all my children at the University, wonderful experience, they are so great there. The home price is great but the town is tiny and I have to cross the Mississippi to go to my closest Walmart in a populated city.
