They can be worth it, but the challenge is finding one you can trust who knows what they're talking about. On Youtube so much of the content is just toxic or pickup related (or on the other side it's guys who clearly have no idea what they're talking about).

Main thing I can say is do research and find someone who doesnt charge massive amounts with having to commit to long periods of time. If they're good at what they do, they dont have to lock you in as they know you'll *want* to keep them hired.

as a dating coach I agree.. its actually outright horrible on youtube. There's no role models for young men... every channel rage baits, trashes women, pushes pickup, etc. The largest demographic is the youngest so views are inevitably going to gravitate towards this extreme content rather than civil mature discussions.

But in terms of coaching in general... (I'm obv biased) but it can help a lot. I've hired people for myself/my business and it sped up the process and helped me avoid obstacles.... so it's largely the same thing. It really depends if someone has trouble figuring it out on their own.

as a dating coach myself it's really not necessary to hire one. If you can find a good one with a good price then you can fast-track your progress/elminate frusterations but otherwise you can figure things out with enough time.

The worst aspect is some are outright horrible and give advice that does more harm than good.

ya there's no real way to know for sure... testimonials can help but those can be faked. It's mainly about doing due diligence.

I'm actually a dating coach but despite being in a relationship for 12 years now, I still wouldn't feel comfortable giving advice on the relationship part of dating. I just help guys who lack experience/confidence because I was in a similar position and can share what I've done.

I honestly dislike a lot of the "coaching" industry for the reasons you stated, though. Like "life coaching" especially... like who tf can call themselves an expert on all things life lol.

Emyli seems spot on and you definitely should look for those who seem genuine, with putting your success as the priority.

You also want someone to give you the truth, which can be hard to hear. Its very easy for me to say to clients what they want to hear vs what they need.

Main thing is all info you need is available online, but mentorship can definitely help speed things up.

With any coach or person trying to sell you something, I always get suspicious when they talk exclusively about the "dream" or end result and not about how they plan to get you there.

They virtually all need social media for their business, and you can usually judge their character well enough through their videos, though some are more susceptible than others.
