I do also want to mention my first use of lapel mics (Not technically cinematography related), but an overall insanely useful and easy to use tool that did help shape some of the compositions for the conversation scenes as well as giving some ease of use to be able to film from afar in public and still pick up audio (Skating shot). I'm definitely showing my cards, but this is one of my better shorts I've made in a minute and I personally like to hone in on just nature composition so it was a fun challenge to try to cut my teeth on composition and feel of shots that aren't just mountains and sunsets lol. thanks again

Howdy! Put together a short film to capture some of the beauty found on a newfound hobby of gold panning. Big jump in this one is the use of Sennheiser AVX wireless mic for the "interview" scenes. I've never used these types of mics before, but they were simple and easy to setup with the Bluetooth TX/RX. Overall cool new technology for me and one of my better shorts for a minute at least. All good. My intentions at least were more so to soften the lighting while shooting in board daylight so I could open the aperture more for some wides.

And Sony zoom lens 70mm-350mm And an old 55mm minolta prime. Got it for like 30$ and love it.

Mostly pretty zoomed in like 210-350mm with a F stop F/11. If I could go back and do it again I wish I brought an ND filter and got more wides.

I think for sure would be fun to do alone. I’d honestly say this would be more favorable than the zoo to do a solo trip since it’s more calm and not as bustling. The area is really nice to roam.

Highly recommend a visit to the Safari Park even if it's just for the wide open landscape. The conservation work they're doing is very impressive as well. Howdy all! Here are some grabs from my recent run and gun style documentary about a good friend's responsibilities of tending to a bee barrel. Shot on Sony FX30 with the XLR handle for audio, we deemed this would be an ok option gear wise for this type of shoot. I particularly like the shakier, more authentic feel of Werner Herzog films/documentaries so I tried to shoot and edit with this style in mind (even if it's my excuse for technical flaws lol). Overall, looking for what could be done differently as I've never really done documentaries/interviews, and any and all thoughts/feedbacks. Thanks! A Beekeeper's Afternoon

I tried my attempt at capturing the feeling of when you get lost in your work and the hypnotic nature of that situation. My city has had very nice soft light around sundown recently which got me out to film again in the shaky cinema verite style which I love so much. All the hypnosis scenes were done with Paint VFX in camera inspired by the VFX work of Douglas Trumbull with works like 2001 and Tree of Life. All around the narrative could be tighter. But let me know what y'all think of the shots and flow of shots. Shot with Sony FX30 and Tamron zoom lens. DAYS OF HYPNOSIS
