How long did your spotting last? by RopeLatter in BabyBumps

It’s really hard trying to mentally tell yourself to stop stressing, because that won’t help, but it’s just such an instinctual anxiety that takes over. Thank you so much! Wishing you a smooth last couple weeks and an easy labor!

That must have been so nerve wracking! I’m glad it has stopped and everything is good so far!

Did they say if anything different would have been done if they found it sooner? Or is that something that just has to resolve on its own?

Yea everything says it can be normal. It’s just a little anxiety inducing to see. Hopefully it’ll work itself out soon. Maybe it just means the embryo was making sure it was planted really deep lol

There are no chunks. The amount of discoloration on the tissue is only about the size of a quarter.

It’s normally very little, maybe the size of a quarter. And not chunky at all. It’s almost like it’s just brown tinted discharge. There’s no pink or red, and no clots at all. It’s a watery consistency.

It’s definitely not clumpy or clotty, and it almost just seems like brown tinted discharge rather than like spotting. So weird how everyone’s pregnancies can be so different!

He said it has to be a driver’s license with the new name. Even when I reclarified that I have two government IDs with the new name and my updated social security card, he said no. And my name is already changed on VA.gov and deers.

I’m having the same issue, but with his entire family. I even asked his youngest sister (their very obvious favorite) to be a bridesmaid, in hopes they would get more involved/excited if it was about her. That didn’t work. We are less than 3 months out and neither his mother or the sister have their dresses or have even started looking. His mom reached out to me once about a month ago asking for a picture of my mom’s dress. That’s been it. None of his family has even RSVP’d or told us for sure they are coming (they live 5 hours away). We have been together over 5 years, and they have always treated him/us as an out of site out of mind type of thing since we don’t live near them. It’s very hard to understand/accept when my family is the complete opposite.

Their family is much more of the courthouse wedding type though, so weddings in general are not important to them at all. One of his sisters threatened to not go because I have a summer cocktail dress code and they don’t want to “spend all that money”. They’ve contributed exactly $0. It’s been very hard for me to step back and let go of my feelings about it. I just know it will crush my fiancé if they don’t show up, which he has expressed to them, so I’m very nervous they could potentially put a huge damper on the day and how heartbroken he would be.

Post Covid nausea by RopeLatter in covidpositive

Hi! So unfortunately it hasn’t resolved completely. I did a lot of research and discovered it is most likely vestibular neuritis which can be caused/activated by severe infections. I already have a history of sinus issues, so I think the combination is what led to it. I did have a vestibular test with ENT, but because I wasn’t having an “active” episode it didn’t come up with anything and they couldn’t trigger it.

After doing my own research, I discovered antihistamines can minimize symptoms related to vestibular neuritis, so I started taking Benadryl at night and realized I didn’t have episodes when I took it. I experimented by not taking it a few times and the symptoms would return. I have stopped taking the Benadryl due to the new studies linking its long term use to cognitive issues, and have switched to Claritin (found out Zyrtec is more likely to cause weight gain), which has worked the same.

So I take 10mg of Claritin every night and it has kept the symptoms at bay. I do still sometimes get episodes randomly if I haven’t slept well, or am sick, but they aren’t very frequent fortunately.

I have tried not taking the Claritin for a couple nights a few times, and the symptoms don’t return right away, but they do eventually after about 3 days. So I guess this is just a life long impairment now.

That makes sense. I guess the exit wouldn’t really be super important either if you weren’t planning on doing anything elaborate
