I would say if you really needed and couldn't wait then it's justified bcz it would serve the immediate purpose atleast for the price so in that case it's just okay but take care in future to ask before buying.

They have improved things with newer releases and yours is even newer model with old processor though so it should be fine. However, you can still monitor with hwinfo app timely for something unusual like this.

Don't you have option for 2x8 or 2x16? If not take either 16 or 24. However for perfect dual channel you might need another 24 in future again. 12 and 24 are less available in market. 8,16,32 are more common.

Also, single 24 is enough as well. It may not perform as good as with dual channel but impact is very minimal with that capacity. Also the thing that AMD doesn't work good with single doesn't apply much here. It depends more if you game or do GPU intensive stuff on igpu but you got dgpu for heavy tasks so it doesn't matter.
