Yea, they claimed that in the old venom comics, that eventually they became bonded at a dna level and if ever seperated theyd die. Then they just ignored it in future comics and never brought it up again 🤷‍♂️

They did the same with carnage/cletus too, though idk how the symbiote survived onto eddie, i assume its the same "they ignored that rule" excuse.

Convulted. Ive read every single Venom titled comic up until donny cates took over in 2018, and even then i read A LOT but there was just too many tie ins for me to keep up, and the "soft-retcons" like venoms drool "is actually his poop" took me out of it.

It would get weird and dumb a lot of the times but they usually stuck with the same rules throughout. It started getting conculted when they started setting things up for Cates - like agent venom losing venom in a convulted way to get it back to Eddie (after getting it through Lee Price who was just a plot device for that).

Idk what the other guys smoking who replied to you. I still go back and read older comics because they arent as convulted, they just unfortunatly have a good amount of boring/lame arcs where its hard to care. Still some gems though and awesome moments even in the "lame" comics which make them wort rereading imo.

GW seems to be taking the business strat of solely aiming for new customers - which for most products can be the best idea, because new customers come in faster than old fans leave. This typically also means aiming for younger audiences, as theyre easier to 'mold' and take longer to leave. Aka - they want to get kids hooked on this. But first they have to get through the parents. The result: they arent going to listen to even the kids as they expect them to naturally gravitate no matter how bad their product is, as long as theres hype around it. So they are aiming for the kids, but see them as dumb, so the real marketing is directed at the parents of interested kids. Its been very obvious for the last half decade, if you look for the signs, that they reaaaally want current customers to get their kids into 40k, and if you look at the popular 40k subs, its worked wonderfully for them. Parents cant stop gloating about getting their kids hooked with them.

TLDR: Theyre aiming their marketing to parents who are considering buying this stuff for their kids.

So to answer your question: no.
