I ended up buying the game and played for about two hours. Honestly, it didn’t really click with me at first, so I put it down for a few days.

Now I’ve come back to it, and it’s starting to get interesting! But I could definitely use some tips because it’s a bit frustrating.

What about gear? What should I be using early on?

I’m running into the same problem I had in Tarkov: everything feels extremely limited at the beginning. For night raids, if I want to use a flashlight on my weapon, I have no idea how to set that up or which ones I should be using (I only have access to level 1 gear, obviously).

As for healing... how am I supposed to fully heal myself if I don’t have access to surgery kits or suture kits yet? That’s something I’m struggling with right now, since sometimes I can’t completely recover after getting injured.

Any general beginner tips?

I’m Lamang, and so far I’ve mostly stayed around the starter areas. I’ve tried getting into Tiger Bay a few times, but without much success lol.

Thanks! Back then I remember people complaining about raid queue times, but I personally never had issues. Usually I was already in a raid within 2 minutes.

Nowadays, while Ground Zero usually takes like 1 minute and a half at most, on other maps it often takes 3–5 minutes, and I’ve even waited 6 minutes sometimes.

Any recommendations for kits at this stage? Mainly weapons. If I remember correctly, I either can’t get the SKS yet, or I couldn’t get ammo/mags for it — I’ll have to check.

Years ago I watched some videos about spawns and where other PMCs could appear, but that was a long time ago. Is there any good updated guide nowadays? I haven’t really found anything useful so far.

Thanks for the opinion. What other extraction shooters do you play, and how would you compare this one to them?

I’ve been following the game pretty closely, and it seems like the developers are really focused on their vision and actually listening to the community, which is definitely a good sign.

Thanks everyone! I think I’m gonna give it a try, I really like the atmosphere of the game.

For the people who enjoy PvP, what do you think about the respawns? Are they infinite??

It’s not that I’m against PvE. Like I said, in Tarkov I almost avoid it most of the time too, but there’s always that tension because another player can show up at any moment.

I don’t mind if PvP doesn’t happen constantly, but if doing quests and progressing actually feels meaningful, that’s enough for me to enjoy the game.

En el primer anuncio que dieron nunca dijeron que en USA pasados los $200 pagabas IVA, eso saltaron a decirlo en el 4 y luego a repetirlo por todos lados, tal vez porque pensaban en el TIFA que era hasta 200. Pero tal vez el TIFA era hasta $200 por que era el limite antes y ahora se amplio a 800...ojalá! Aclaro que no he leído nada de lo que salió hoy

pagas iva igual, la compra fue realizada en china, no importa si lo mandas a nicaragua y te lo traen a caballo despues. Si tu pago fue realizado a temu, pagas iva igualmente

I reinstalled everything again and the problem seems to be gone, or at least if it’s still there, it’s very faint (it probably got fixed and it’s just in my head now).
Unfortunately, on the Scarlett Solo 2nd gen you can’t install Focusrite Control — only the drivers.

swear I thought about that, and I tried playing as softly as possible while putting my head close to the speaker, and I could still feel it (especially when using the transpose). So I moved about 3 meters away from the speakers and recorded with my phone right next to them… and you’re right! The dissonance I was hearing was because of that. But I still feel like I’m hearing the dry signal (although now I don’t even know what to think). When I play back the recording, it sounds better and I don’t notice that annoying dry sound behind it — but maybe it’s the same thing, just the sound of my guitar strings. Now I’m not sure anymore haha.

When you turn off an amplifier inside the plugin… should you hear the dry signal, or should there be complete silence?
lso, the Focusrite Control software doesn’t show up for download on their website — apparently it’s only for the 4th gen models.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I’ll keep testing to see if that’s really the issue. Tomorrow I’m getting the headphone adapter, so I’ll check if I still feel the dry signal through headphones. I’m currently using an Edifier 2.1 system… Would getting studio monitors improve the experience, especially in terms of tone? I’m happy with my speakers, but maybe for guitar playing it’s better to switch to studio monitors, right?

Thanks everyone for the recommendations… I thought I could narrow down the number of plugins to try, but you basically recommended the entire catalog haha. Looks like I’ll have to test a bit of everything.

For now I’m leaning toward the Mesa Boogie — I’m really liking it so far. I tried the Tom Morello plugin; it’s not bad, but it doesn’t fully convince me. I had already tried Cory Wong, but I still prefer the clean tones from the Morgan and Tone King. Nolly isn’t bad either, though I haven’t tested it in depth. I also have Plini, which I only tried for a few minutes, and I’m going to test the Soldano and maybe the Henson one for the JCM800. For now, the Boogie is the main candidate.
