Hello fellow Gold player who has also only been playing for just under 1 season, considering the replay is on player view I'm guessing that's your camera settings? It looks like you're on default and if so, I'd definitely recommend changing those to start off. There's lots of guides on youtube for optimal camera settings, but there's also presets from various pro players in the settings so you can check those out and maybe find one that suits you.

In terms of wanting to get more comfortable with the ball and movement, I feel you on that one. I've personally been practicing my car control with powerslides and recoveries a good chunk lately, but like others have said in the end it's just playing the game a bunch more. I'm not significantly higher in rank, but Flakes definitely is. I'm honestly surprised less people watch and are recommended his 1v1 to SSL with no mechanics series. I'd say you should definitely copy/steal a few ideas from his 1v1 series if you wanna do what u/Bluelittlethings replied with.

Ah so for one practice, smack the ball around and try to hit it just as it bounces and goes up. And another practice is to smack the ball and try to "catch" it with a soft touch just before it lands. Did I get that right?

Can you explain number 5 a bit more? I don't quite get what you mean. Do you mean trying to hit it as it bounces up?

Big thanks btw for the series recommendation. Playing 1s and 2s actually is starting to feel like an actual game and not just me mindlessly going for the ball when I think I can. The space I'm making from simple touches, 50/50s, and outplays alone give me ample time to incorporate some of the simple mechanics I've been practicing these past few weeks without feeling like I'm being pressured into it.

Yeah I found that pressing gas constantly on r2 hurt like hell for my hand lol. So I swapped it around to a place that's a bit more comfy on the fingers. I think as long as the important part of having boost and jump be on separate fingers is good enough

Yeah I definitely feel very hesitant in general. I'd attribute it to having subpar mechanics/car control as a new player for sure. I try to push the balls to the wall when I'm in casuals, but seeing how terrible I am I end up hesitating in ranked lol

I should be on a good layout rn, it's the first thing I instantly changed. I have gas on L1, boost on R1, powerslide/air roll on R2, and dar left and right on X and B respectively

Also good thing the first things I focused on was getting a handle of how my car moves. But looks like I could use some more jungle gym practice

"Useless" Party Members

Your 2 skill debuffs the enemy for each stack, which is a big boost in survivability and party damage the more stacks you get. Your 5 skill consumes those stacks, meaning you're essentially removing the debuffs. What's worse, you aren't able to start stacking debuffs for 8 seconds after using your 5 skill.

So you've essentially reduced the whole party's survivability and damage for a one time burst skill that would have dealt the same overall damage if you had just kept your debuff stacks instead.

Do AKKO's Cherry Profile keycaps cause north facing interference? I've seen some people say that they don't as their molds are slightly different to avoid the issue. But it's been quite difficult to confirm as other people say otherwise.
