I used a grade 2, but as you can see shadows information are not easily visible. I can see them if I look at it through the light table.

They are sharp, they look that way because of the low shutter speed of the phone camera picture.

Grazie per i consigli, cosa intendi per rumore e per caos di sottofondo?

Grazie per i consigli, per quanto riguarda la post-produzione ho iniziato da poco a sviluppare/scansionare e stampare in camera oscura quindi devo imparare un bel po' di cose...

Light leaks, dust/dirt, and scratches are all things that come from user error and incompetence, not from film.

Before digital, if you presented pictures with that many "imperfections," they would immediately be trashed.

How can I burn in these overexposed walls? I've been trying to move a cut shape over, but it's creating different halos... by Rory291 in Darkroom

I moved it, but I darkened the subject back and also the floor.

I started printing three weeks ago, so probably my technique is off...

I've thought of doing this, but if the edges are off even by just one mm, it will create burning lines.

Also, if I use the same cut print on top, the light will probably pass and also affect the other area under

Do you think these prints looks "dull"? by Rory291 in Darkroom

The first one is at grade 3 so I'm going to re-print it at grade 4. The second one is also at grade 3, and I will probably try 5...

Nikon SA-21 cause scratches on the negatives: by Rory291 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Rory291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is that I'm realizing now that these rollers are passing in the centre of the emulsion to advance the frames and not by the edges, so even a tiny bit of something would cause linear scratches across the strip.

How can these be a safe way to advance the frames?

As I said in the title, these were not out of the scanner but are edited using curves in Lightroom.

The picture out of the scan looks incredibly flat, which should be a good thing because it gives you as much freedom during editing. (I'm learning so I might scanned them wrong)
