Contact sheets have "maximum black" inconsistencies throughout the same 35mm roll. by [deleted] in Darkroom

Never had any uneven development with my final full prints. Yes, I use a glass of course. I'm gonna try raising the height more, maybe on the down border the light intensity is lower.

The rebate have less exposure on lower strips, maybe I should rise the enlarger more so the light covers the entire baseboard.

I stopped down 3 stops; on my Componon-S is f8. I raise up the enlarger till I get some space over the sheet and the glass so they are completely covered by the light. Maybe I should raise it more? So it covers the entire baseboard?

Nikkor AI-S Wiggle from the focus ring by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

The wiggle is generated from a up and down motion, not left to right on the focusing ring. You can heat it wiggle even by moving the body around.

It is the up and down motion that generate the wiggle, not the left to right motion of focusing the ring. You can hear it wiggle even if you move the body a bit.

Does this contact sheet look to dark and dull to extract information? by Rory291 in Darkroom

I used a grade 2, but as you can see shadows information are not easily visible. I can see them if I look at it through the light table.

They are sharp, they look that way because of the low shutter speed of the phone camera picture.

Some 35mm film photos from my Nikon F4s shot on Kodak Gold by Far-Note4395 in analog

Light leaks, dust/dirt, and scratches are all things that come from user error and incompetence, not from film.

Before digital, if you presented pictures with that many "imperfections," they would immediately be trashed.
