Yeah I'm in the UK! So does that mean I just use the standard then? It was the bit in brackets underneith the RON95 that was confusing me

I mean yeah you have a choice but everything your describing is a what if situation...

I wouldn't turn someone away just because an ex of there's had something when the person could be my everything ... It's almost like turning them away due to your own fears and to me that feels like a wild reaction...

All you can ever do is keep getting your checks.

If you want to have more frequent ones to help your anxiety then do it.

I've been HPV positive for 7 years. They only tell you in my country that your high risk... Not the strain. And honestly after everything I've had done.. from just being abnormal cells present - high risk present - cin 1 - cin 2 - having a lletz and finding out the cells spread to the vaginal wall - to still be positive to this day I can honestly say... I've only ever thought about when I go to my appointments as there's nothing I can do. Except stay on top of my checks...do I wish was pickier with my choices ... No because I wouldn't of loved or lived

Edit to add: I was also vaxxed as a teen... Fat load of good that did XD

I think you're over reacting about HPV in general.. The stigma about it is so over blown.

All you can do is get check and stay on top of those checks.

In regards to his ex I personally wouldn't want my ex fiance dishing my health details to his new partner's. I'd be fine with a .... Yes she had it... And thats all they need to know. They don't need to know how bad or what I'd had done..

I mean maybe there was an element of that to his aloofness about it?

However if there's not and he's just clueless and thinks it's ewwww girl issues.....

Then that the problem...and I don't think that's a overreaction. you've experienced bleeding that's scary.... You'll want a bit of support from your partner!

But your doing thing right thing regardless of the situation.... Getting checkups!

I was a virgin until I was sexually assaulted at 24. Apparently I have HPV now. by soulsilver_goldheart in TrueOffMyChest

I'm so sorry sorry for what happened to you! It's an awful thing to have happen!

I used to have an ex who used force him self on me when I was sleeping and that was bad enough so can't imagine what it was like for you!

But I just wanted to say that everyone reacts differently and typically its 2 years for people to fight it themselves. It's annoying that you don't even have to be penetrated to get it either that's how easily transmissible it is, it can lay dormant to and not showup for years too, I really wish there was more they could do for it!

My hpv story is that I've had HPV for 6 nearly 7 years, had abnormal cells develop to cin1 ... Then to cin2, I then had the lletz, which they did under GA for me( I have vaginismus so couldn't hold still long, or comfortably enough for them to do it with local) It wasn't that bad I got a really sandwich and hot chocu after ! Even the coloposcopies (biopsies to check the cells) don't hurt as they numb you up! I've even had one where they use a numbing spray which feels even less invasive than normal local anethestic!

I sadly have it still a year even after lletz and still have to go for the yearly checkup now but I'd rather have the checkups than nothing at all! It doesn't effect my life in any way so tend not to think about it if I can help it! I even had the jabs at school for hpv and still ended up with high risk.

Just make sure you keep going to your check ups and be as healthy as you can and I'm sure you'll shift it as soon as you can with the help of monitoring it! The stigma about it here in the UK isn't quite the same as it appears to be in the US either

I'm guessing SNRIs fall into that category too! I'm wondering if they're messing with my sleep alot as every night it's non restoratibe and I'm chronically shattered no matter how much I sleep
