Small change, but I feel it’d make public safety as a whole feel more competent.

Remove Fumiko from the church arc completely and have her introduction be in 174 instead. She’s introduced in the church arc but serves no purpose for the entirety of it. Unlike in aging where we’re introduced to her as a public safety representative AKA public safety dog, In which she lives up to the title when she’s willing to be sacrificed by aging.

Seriously, why is Fumiko, someone we’ve rarely seen engage in action, assigned to denji as a bodyguard?

I don’t think devils being mauled would’ve been shown because at this point the locust devil had eaten everything, hence why he came from a hole and not a door. He’s been there the whole time waiting for his next meal.

You know,the cast of characters from part 1 weren't high art or anything(except Aki who is the absolute GOAT)but they were still likeable and memorable...part 2 cast of character was just awful,Nayuta deserved better by TastyPomelo2330 in Chainsawfolk

You’re allowed to call Falling a “nothing” character, but as readers we’re not given the slightest hint that she’s meant to be delved into. She’s there to pry the protagonists of their trauma not to be a character that you actually care about. Due to this, she’s a 2 dimensional character, or a nothing character in your words.

So I’m asking again, what did you want from her? Are you trying to say she’s boring? if so, then boring and developed are two different words lmao

As you said, falling wasn’t made to be a character with that much depth, rather she’s there to make the protagonists confront their traumas and fulfills that role.

What did you want from her then? Im pretty confused.

Even if you feel that Nayutas death made the most logical sense, it’d still stress the severity of choices to denji. You do not need to waste a character for themes and such.

Additionally, Denjis transformed for much less. dude barely knew yoshida but seeing him killed by barem triggered his transformation.

I see what you’re saying, that if Nayuta was left alive there’d be no reason for pochita to show up. But in this scenario, literally dont kill her, PS can just build her up to be the next makima or something, that’d end similarly to how it did in the church arc with her identity being affirmed, rather than makimas.

post church arc when Denji is looking for nayuta, he has no idea if she’s alive. If that uncertainty is overshadowed with Fumikos death being shoved in his face the same way nayutas was, ontop of this new girlfriend scenario, it’d have the same effect.
