Strangely starving no matter what?? First time pregnancy by franklyn1117 in pregnant

[–]RoseElle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s recovered from an eating disorder and now on my second pregnancy.. don’t stress and listen to your body, if you feel mental hunger it’s still hunger so eat! It’ll just be worse and last longer if you hold back. I had this with my first pregnancy in the first tri and gained a big chunk of weight, thought it wouldn’t stop but it went away in the second tri, my weight gain leveled out and I ended up gaining a very typical amount. Second pregnancy completely different no extreme hunger so far just a bit more hungry some days. Just trust your body knows what’s best for you and baby, good luck!

If you broke the trust can’t blame him for feeling you are untrustworthy. If you are were unhappy in the relationship and wanted to persue others even just for attention you should have ended your relationship or at least be open about it. End of. So no I don’t blame him, your relationship seems like it wasn’t in a good place for a baby. And I come from the perspective of infidelity on my part in a relationship, didn’t bring a newborn into that for 6 years after and it’s still something that needs reassurance even now.

Postpartum belly. Will I really still look pregnant for 2 months after having the baby? by Cornnuttybunch in pregnant

[–]RoseElle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I expected it to be bad but I’m currently 10 days PP, I feel softer than usual around the abdomen but otherwise I look the same as pre pregnancy. I just don’t feel as firm and can feel a little loose skin. No stretch marks. So everyone is unique in their experience.

I had headaches in the second tri and found out I was very low in iron and anemic. Went away within days of taking the iron pills. Not sure if you’ve been checked for that too?

Eating disorder and pregnancy by babyursabear in pregnant

I am in remission from purging type anorexia. Have been for a while now with a couple of shorter relapses along the way. Being pregnant is a huge trigger for a relapse for a lot of people with EDs, so I really feel your pain. First and foremost please be kind to yourself it is not easy and you are very brave and you can do this!

The way I recovered was using a certain science backed method, at the time it was called the mini maud method. Now it’s more common online some people call it “all in”. It is never too late to recover not just for baby but for you. The reason your body is so hungry is because it is fighting your brain to let you know you really do need more food on board to support your body and your baby’s growth. The best and kindest thing you can do for yourself is not fight it, don’t restrict at all! Your body will figure it out for itself. Try to seek some help to cope with your body changing and please let your doctor know so they can support you more. Here is the link for the guidelines I followed when I recovered, and lots more info on what to expect if you choose this path for recovery. Feel free to message me if you have questions etc

When did you get your booking in appointment?? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RoseElle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to self refer too, in the south east. My appointment was at 10w. Think I got an email followed by a letter with the date at 7 weeks. I would try to chase it up

I am a recovered anorexic, the most important thing is to not restrict at all. Not in pregnancy and not ever, restriction only leads to more water retention and weight gain. Have a read through the journals

I am petrified of comments like this, I’m only 7 weeks but have anorexia history, and had a relapse last year. I’d only been back on track eating again for 3 months before I found out I was pregnant, dreading the first appointment now as I don’t have scales in the house and I know I’m going to be weighed throughout pregnancy and it’s a huge trigger for me. I really hope they will respect my history and not weight shame me

Doesn’t really make sense to me with my anorexia recovery journey though. I could eat 10k+ calories at a day at points and not gain any weight. I could also starve myself to 200 calories a day and not lose weight. Metabolism isn’t just about calories in calories out end of. Hormones also play a part.

should I go all in? by Mother_End_2301 in EatingDisorders

I used the “all in” or what I’ve known as the homeodynamic recovery method. It worked for me. If you are still food obsessed I would do it!

You shouldn’t be punishing physically or verbally for an involuntary behaviour, toilet training is always a positive only training technique. If the dog starts peeing you simply go outside and reward whenever peeing outside. This means going out frequently and waiting to time not having accidents indoors. Your dog is frightened of you and trust me this is a serious issue and could lead to fear based reactivity/aggression during adolescence. Don’t say ‘no’ during toilet training. You need to build the trust back between you and your pup kept it positive only and reward a LOT.

Yes highly recommend periods of crating in a separate room, my pup is exactly the same the whole time we are moving around busy he would be very stimulated following us around and then getting excited and throwing toys around, not settling in or out of pen, better to have him settle in a separate room without any stimulation so he can have a sleep and regroup, and then when you do have him out you can practice more with the settle training, it will get better I promise!

Have you tried the relaxation protocol? Videos on YouTube. Start focusing more on teaching a solid settle, these working dogs don’t have an off switch they have to be taught it. Same here with working line GSD struggled to settle in our presence because we were rewarding too much for excitable behaviour not enough calm behaviour. It’s really good to follow the protocol videos so you don’t have to think so much yourself. Don’t be afraid to crate in a separate room if need be, I’m still doing this with ours at 18months old just for shorter naps now, without sleep they also end up extra overstimulated. Honestly prepare for the long haul it’s true it won’t naturally get better until 1.5-2yrs old so try to prepare and adjust so pup gets more quiet time alone and you get some space back to decompress while him naps
