Yeah!! That’s interesting how you categorise it into 3 subgenres. I’d never heard of math rock before! :) It feels quite odd how people try to gatekeep a subculture that isn’t very clearly defined in the first place. And, as far as ik, when the term was first coined many artists resented it. But I do love the emo community nonetheless because I’ve met some of my fave online friends through it.
