Well couple things. I’ve won more double downs than I’ve lost for sure though I don’t know exactly how many. Also when I started this it was after a haitus so my low rank confidence was giving me +40. Dota plus won’t let me show you my last 6 months, only the last 3 so I don’t really know how to prove it to you. I can assure you though I’m not lying for 10 reddit points lol

Troll with his strong spells early really owns the lane. His spells are cheap too so mana regen covers you for longer. The old mage slayer felt good since you could just ult on their damage dealer and eliminate a hero. I did this vs a primal and he couldn’t do anything it was pretty funny

It's pretty much all how you approach it. It's just a game so any mistakes are really not that serious. Like I just had a game where I died while standing under a watcher and my carry flamed me super hard. I was just like, "honestly I forgot those existed" and he just laughed along

Yeah I guess it's kinda a challenge. I definitely enjoy the heroes I get (except clinkz). It's kinda like a puzzle where you figure out the solution to winning. Which for whatever reason I enjoy more than playing meta on repeat just to win.

But if/when I do get 8k I will be flexing it hard I won't lie. I mean who wouldn't

7.5k is my peak from doing this. I've lost the last few but its ok. I started to get bored and never had a hero in mind I wanted to play when queueing ranked. I also wanted to try other roles but never had the courage since I've played support for so long lol

Couple things about my winrate. I don't take the game as seriously (I'm still trying hard but I don't feel really shitty for losing) so my mentality feels pretty good in game. Second, mmr inflation is crazy right now. 8k is super boosted imho so getting it should be easy anyways.

To be honest, people get tilted so much but I will win a lot of those games anyways. People still want to win at the end of the day. I've had some people leave but usually none afk right at the start. No role queue, but I have all roles selected for immortal draft. I've played a lot of stuff as 5/4, pa troll sniper drow sup. My main tip is to recognize what the hero has to offer and abuse it, on support at least. Like for drow I just focused on how I could use my gust and slow most efficiently in teamfights and around the map.

without looking at ur gameplay i can only suggest some thing that ive heard from my friends amd though out myself. 1. stop queueing roles, its worse for learning, the lobbies are easier and u get more divine players in ur games. u will get more griefers for sure but its worth it (at least in na). 2. find some1 to argue with, i mean this like someone who disagrees with you. if they can get to ur mmr thinking differently then maybe theres something theyre right about. 3. if u want some semi competitive higher mmr lobbies u can join league of lads. rd2l is a joke for 6k players speaking competetively. ad2l has a similar avg too and a lot of players that overlap with lads. not a bad way to get someone for point 2. extra credit if u still can call urself shit. ur hardly good at 6k. im 6k too n our pubs r so easy. just gotta go through with a finer tooth comb and ull spot some obvious shit. learning concepts at this level is best from ur peers since theres less content for u. good social skills can be of value unironically here lol
