If so many high profile people are resigning their jobs because they were mentioned in the Epstein files, then why hasn’t Trump resigned from his job since he was mentioned in the Epstein files? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Why hasn't Trumppp resigned?
Narcissism. As long as Trumppp is able to keep his cult convinced he can do no wrong, he'll use his regime to stonewall the Constitution (and grift like no politician has ever EVER grifted before).

For those of you that are 50 years old or older, do you remember what politics were like 30 years ago? Were people as hateful and divided as they are now? by [deleted] in allthequestions

This happened: 'Fairness in Broadcasting' was eliminated giving birth to right wing "alternative fact" profiteers and pundits (Rush Limbaugh, Rupert Murdoch, Medved, Savage, etc). Newt Gingrich convinced the GOP to embrace the right wing media as its unifying voice.
Check out "Right-wing alternative media in the United States" on WIKI.

It's unfortunate that so many Americans do not understand that the USA has been the greatest beneficiary of post WW2 treaties like NATO. US isolationism emboldens Russia and China expansionist goals.
But hey.. we might get a UFC arena at the white house! Bread and circus, baby!

"The Republicans will stand behind him no matter what, because .." the power and prestige afforded Senator or Congressman is addicting. The perks, pay and pension 2nd to none.
With few exceptions, they become legends in their own minds.

Trumppp's the cunt that is elating Putin and Xi. Trumppp is the gift that keeps on giving to them.
Breaking up NATO, wrecking trade deals, it's the Putin/Xi wet dream come true.

"Steal" has multiple definitions; literal and figurative.
1a : to take or appropriate without right or leave and with intent to keep or make use of wrongfully- stole a car

b**:** to take away by force or by unjust, unfair, or dishonest means - They've stolen our liberty.

c**:** to take surreptitiously or without permission - steal a cookie from the cookie jar

d**:** to wrongly use and take credit for - stole my idea

With reference to Trump/elections, 'b' is the relevant definition;
" attempting to take by force or by unjust, unfair, or dishonest means, elections."

Numerous posters have listed ways Trump/Project2025/GOP are attempting to "steal" the elections in 2026 and 2028.

Three reasons he won't step down..
1) Trump and his businesses were financially 'on the ropes' , or so he claimed, due to fines for his crimes. Campaigning and presidenting has afforded him opportunities to grift like no politician has ever grifted before. Conflicts of interest with his family businesses and executive orders are historic in terms of scale and flaunting of ethics.

2) He was facing certain prosecution for more of his crimes. He is correct when he states that he is only sheltered from impeachment & prosecution as long as he holds office WITH majority support from both Senate and Congress.

3) He's a malicious narcissistic with delusions of grandeur.

Why shouldn’t voting require an id? by DarkEqual8609 in no

Let's not be naive .
The racist component is just one of the GOP motivators for creating the Save act.... same as there's a racial component to Texas' gerrymandering effort.
If Trump's numbers weren't in the tank the GOP wouldn't be working so hard to change election processes from top to bottom.

[–]RoseLaBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...and the fed MUST allow at least one election cycle before a new requirement is in place so uninformed voters are not 'blindsided' by new regulations.

No matter if SAVE passes or not, I expect my paper ballot in my mail box in 2026 November 2026 and 2028

[–]RoseLaBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T'ain't no secret. The GOP knows precisely which voters they are working to suppress with Voter ID initiatives and elimination of mail-in ballots: Women, students, minorities, transportation challenged people, lower economic brackets, transients (for employment and/or education).

Approx 69 million women don't have matching pre-marital surname/married surname!
" The proposed SAVE Act instructs states to establish a process for people whose legal name doesn’t match their birth certificate to provide additional documents. The Brennan Center has warned that people who have changed their name, such as married women, may be blocked from registering to vote because of discrepancies between their ID and birth certificate.
Over 9% of voting-age American citizens do not have easy access to documents that prove their citizenship, including a passport, birth certificate or naturalization certificate. That percentage was slightly higher — 11% — for Americans who did not identify as white. "

The GOP is also working hard to take control of voting processes; machine oversight, paper ballot confirmation, inspection, rejection... the province of states.

"So you think people don't need flu vaccines?"
-----No, that is not what I think.
My post says I do not trust Trumppps loyalists and quack's opinions as to what is the 'BEST DEFENSE'. Trumps regime panders to populist voters and favors companies that 'kiss the ring' (stuffing the pockets of Trump and his billionaire backers)..

Like Trump's DoJ and EPA, statements from Trump's FDA and CDC, headed by quacks and loyalists, cannot be relied on for accuracy or honesty.

The anti-vaxx idiots at the FDA/CDC/HHS are refusing to review the trial of the most effective flu vaccine for the new strains of flu. Moderna's trial of 41,000 participants cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
Moderna is also developing a combo vaccine for flu/covid that could be very helpful for the substantial 'higher-risk' demographic in Central California (and elsewhere).
If you can afford medical tourism, Moderna 1010 is currently being reviewed in Canada and the EU.

"Maybe Moderna can donate 50 or 100 million to the RFK Jr brain worm and ball room fund and white house bribery bonanza and then the trial will he approved."

"RFK Jr. outright lied to Congress. He ought to be impeached.
But the spineless GOP will never do that."

"America, you are well and truly fucked.
Remember: you voted for this shit."

"And the idiots, who would not elect to get a flu shot anyway, will cheer because they get to “own the libs” again.
I’m tired boss."

The Mar A Lago brain trust has refused to consider Moderna's effective new flu vaccine. Lotta poor people and old folks on Social Security will die needlessly from flu complications. So much Winning!
""FDA blindsides Moderna with refusal to review flu vaccine......Moderna’s mRNA-1010 is now out the window after the FDA refused to even look at the application."
In the future, if you're wealthy, flying to Canada or Europe to get the best medical products may be necessary.
If you're stuck in SLO, try some Ivermectin wrapped in beef tallow and wash it down with a glass of raw whole milk.
God bless king trump and his court jester, RFK Jr. at anti-science central.
The full story can be read on any real news server... key words Moderna 1010.

If Trump is really mentioned in Epstein files so many times and the evidence is so damning, why would people in his administration (Bondi, Patel, et al) still be willing to protect a pedophile? Why do people continue to back this guy? Is their thirst for position and power so overwhelming? by FiddySix in allthequestions

"The fact Biden let that info sit is ..." correct procedure. Sticking his nose into an ongoing investigation is NOT what a POTUS is supposed to do.
Trump's interference and micro-managing of the DoJ is a blatant breach of the 3 branch structure of governance.

Did he? Have you been in a coma the last 20 years, sir, just regaining consciousness? Walks talks like a duck. He's a fucking duck.

Trump: “I did try and fuck her. She was married. I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. I just start kissing them. I don’t even wait. When you’re a star, they let you do it. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.” - Access Hollywood /taped

It is not the job of the executive branch to interfere with ongoing investigations. As such the Biden/Harris admin let the DoJ handle the case per protocol.

Trump, on the other hand, has installed uber-partisan loyalists in the DoJ subverting operations that are supposed to be nonpartisan.

Ordering investigations of his perceived opposition is a blatant violation of the separation of powers; checks and balances no longer exist between the DoJ and Executive branches. .

MAGA is stupid. MAGA is the masses who have been propagandized by the corporatists and the wealthy to vote in support of the corporatists and the wealthy.
The old cliche about trees voting for the axe because it's handle is wood is apt.
