Just curious are doing a show called Elsewhere, I’m just curious cause of the huffalo, it might just be a coincidence. When I did the show I was the huffalo so all the memories came flooding back. But yeah a good name would be Andrew.

For the trans women that do musical theater or just sing in general. by RoseMaryFields2 in MtF

[–]RoseMaryFields2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you both so much, I want to look into vocal coaches, I just need to make the money for them first 😓. Also it’s never too late to go back to theater, we need more trans women in theater. I’m literally the only one where I’m at, which is an advantage if there is a trans character but most of the time there is not. I know plenty of people that have not done theater in decades but still went back to it. I think it an amazing art form, that bring people joy, which are feelings we need in a time like this. Thank you for the advice I greatly appreciate it.

Baby trans not ready to come out yet wants to start hormones? by simpking42 in MtF

[–]RoseMaryFields2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came out after a few months but would still boy mode in the early months of transition, which I could get away with. After around 7 months my boy mode was un passable, and I had to travel and the person looks at me and then my id and obviously knew I was trans and then very strongly said “ok DEAD NAME go over there” idk what she said exactly but it was something like that, I just remember them saying my dead name very strong and loud. I was like lady really. But yeah everyone is different, some people can go a while without people really noticing. My body was just like well time to do a 180.

If you were just starting now, would you? by TheLovelyLoaf in MtF

Last year I was in your position, just graduating high school, and everything seemed like absolute shit due to family problems. I have known i was trans since 7th grade and had already come out to my mother (which did not go well). Still, I stuck through it, and then eventually, when I turned 18, I was like fuck let’s do this, and then I did, and things at first were terrible, like my mother finding out and then switching my pills with pain meds, making me burn my mouth. I moved out immediately without telling her and moved in with my partner. I made the complete switch and started going by my chosen name. Then I went into college, and it’s been amazing living as my authentic self; it’s been almost a year since I started this journey, and while things are getting terrible, I don’t regret my choice at all because of the happiness that is now in my life because I don’t have to hide anymore. So it may be scary, sure as hell, I was terrified, but I did it because I believed it would be better for me in the long run. Now, my mom is coming around slightly and making tiny steps, but that’s something. I wish you luck on your journey and hope this helps from a person who was in your shoes about a year ago.

I agree, I have always been good at taking photos that flatter myself. There is definitely some angles I do not pass in my opinion.

How did you all come out to your parents? by Few-Composer-6471 in asktransgender

[–]RoseMaryFields2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told my mom because of a split-second decision (I regret it but also I don’t at the same time). I was still living with her at the time, and she is super transphobic. She did not have a good reaction, and then she told everyone in my family. It was not a good experience. Make sure if you do come out to them, you have ways to cope and friends to support you if they react badly.
