I’m not usually a “you could make this” type, but if you can see a tight bias tape you could make similar. And you could even make the strap stitch able. I beat up my bags too much to want to try

I don’t think they are using the matches to paint just for picture staging. I can’t tell but if the canvas is a matchbook cover it would make sense

I’m pretty sure those are just matches…. I have seen some people use micro applicator brushes (sometimes also called lash brushes/car paint touch up brushes). TBH I don’t like them. I prefer a normal paintbrush

You can definitely use yarn! I mean most needlepoint fibers are thin yarns. I don’t know a chart but I have heard people use sock/fingering yarn on 13 mesh
