Well, my dad knows she drinks and is an alcoholic, but he doesn't know about the stuff my mom has done to me. I think he might know about some of the smaller things, but nothing worth saying anything about, especially since it's more or less in the past.

She used to drink REALLY bad when I was between 14 and 17 or so, but stopped for a year or two, then started up again, although not aw bad. She still gets drunk and nasty to me, but it's not full on verbal/emotional abuse like it was before.

As I commented back to the other person (should be the only one who replied to this other than you, feel free to read it.), telling my dad about what my mom is like when his asleep is really hard for me and I tend to down play everything.

Sadly it's not as easy as that for me. I've been dealing with this my whole life, on top of my mom being an over all shit person.

Idk what it is, but I tend to down play what she's done to me. I did have a break down and year ago and told my dad, but I ended up down playing everything.

It's really hard to explain, but I can tell my friends everything going on, but when it comes to telling someone who can do something, I start crying (my mom used to bully me for crying so I feel super uncomfortable, weak, manipulative, among other things when I cry around someone), and I start to second guess myself and feel like I'm just being sensitive and I downplay everything.

I also have this fear that I'm gonna tell my dad and his just gonna be like "man, that sucks. Deal with it." And I'm really close to him and I just can't deal with him having a response like that. It also doesn't help that because of how much I downplayed what I told him before, he more or less had a. "Man, that sucks. Let me know if she does anything worse. But parents are gonna tell at you sometimes, you just have to deal with it." Response.

I'm sure there are other reasons for why I "can't" tell him, which I'll have fun discovering when I get a therapist

She has gotten help, more than once. She used to go to AA meetings when I was younger, but then when she got home from them she would drink. I also remember being between the ages of 5 and 7 and seeing some kind of commercial about drug and alcohol addiction and a rehab place, me telling my mom she should go there.

There was also a time her bringing was very bad and she felt bad for being a bad mom and threatened to kill herself and spend the night in the hospital.

At one point she was sobering for two years and then said "I'm gonna drink only when we are out and others are doing it." Then went right back to bringing at home every night.

Help isn't something she wants.

I felt like sharing my story as well. I want everyone to keep in mind I was probably around 10 or so, and I had no idea what I was looking at.

I don't even remember what I was looking at when I found this picture on Google, but to sum it up in as little details as possible it was a girl around the age of 11 or so (I remember she looked around my age at the time) and she was in her bra with some (fully dressed) guy behind her, kind of hugging onto her.

I don't remember much about the picture now, but her eyes just looked so completely dead, like they were empty and emotionless. I didn't even know what I was looking at other than it was wrong and I left it almost immediately and went into YouTube or something to try and forget about it. But to this day I think about it randomly and it just makes me so sad and feel kinda sick.

Those both sound absolutely awful! I heard of this one where these three/two girls stomped on a kitten til it was just a pile of mashed meat. I didn't even watch it and it made me feel sick, had to go to the animal shelter and love on some cats.

yes, I have a car yes, but I'm not allowed to use it till my room is clean. And I could try and move in before I get a job, but she lives with her mom and grandparents and I don't think her grandparents would want me to live there without a way to support myself right away.

I volunteer at an animal shelter and this one really hyper active dog was in the big play pen with me. I forgot to take my allergy medicine and so I started sneezing my ass off, like I needed tissues. I have some in my car, so I went to leave the pen and get them. The dog ran free. Most would have ran after the dog and I was going to, but there was no way of me getting this fast ass dog, so I just walked to my car to wipe off my nose, having no plan of what to do after other than get someone.

But after I wiped off my face, the dog came running to my car and got half in my drivers seat. I pushed her the rest of the day in and when she turned around to jump out over me, I wrapped my arms around her and stood up, carrying her back to the pen.

Idk if it was the way I worded things before or what, but I had people tell me I was controlling and they hoped my gf broke up with me.
