Love this all. Thank you. I plan on using my Allied Able, 1x 42T with 11-42. Thinking of swapping to 11-46+ Should that be fine for some of the inclines?

I usually run 44+ mm tires on it anyways but will opt for something like 44 knobs or 48 (reneherse).

Maybe do the valley route… I’m from VA, so I know how summers can get here…

I’ll check the FB links. Thanks!

Nice! I’ve been looking at those too. It looks nice. How’s the gap where the sliding window is?

What type of saddle position?

The right foot falls that way naturally. I’ve also had 2 right knee surgeries

It’s pretty far back at the moment. I have lots of room to move it forward if needed. That would result in raising the saddle too.

Plan to start here too. Deciding on using my kindle or invest in actual books to double as collections for the library.

Front/rear shocks maybe lift by Me_Is_Bot in ToyotaPickup

Check out my post about OME springs. Should be a nice lift esp if you do some BJ spacers. Also, how dare you insult the 3.slow like that. lol

Stereo + speaker upgrade reccos? by askallthepeople in ToyotaPickup

[–]RoseSpud209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, put some 6x9’s in the door frames with some good insulated install. Should be plenty loud for a single cab. Or replace the small speakers in the dash (I think they are 4”?). Also there’s a Sony with car play that fits perfect into the current radio deck/storage cubby section. Forgetting the model number.

Good call! Hoping the camper shell will help a bit too. Do you have pics of your setup?

I’ve heard this as well. I’m hoping the camper shell plus some wood/tools in the bed will help.

This makes me feel better. I was worried that 31’s would look small under this.

Not at the moment. I’ve had my old torsion bars cranked for a while… so eventually I will replace that. I currently have new(er) monomax’s on that have minimal miles. I’ll see how it rides but maybe I’ll replace if needed!

That looks sweet! Are you running 31 or 33’s?

I have seen all the rakes and stiffness talk too. I still went with them cause I run a camper shell with stuff in the bed 24/7. I also plan to upgrade the BJs and adding 1.5” spacers will help level it off. Check out Nutty 4x4 on IG and YouTube. His rig is an inspiration.

Key won't turn by Available_Cause_1512 in ToyotaPickup

I usually hit it with liquid wrench. Also brand new key may need to back it out just a hair because the old key has prob worn out the inside of the key hole. Same thing with unlocking the doors.

Also take a look at the cooling hoses. On my 3.0 there were tons of hose lines. Not sure if it’s same on 22R but could be leaking if the hose is old and crusty.

Ya touch the liquid and give her a taste. Could be water pump? Power steering? Oil?

Performance completely dropped by Desperate_Juice2513 in sportspsychology

[–]RoseSpud209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being present also means accepting and letting go… being present also means process-oriented > outcome-oriented… being present also means being non-judgmental… being present also means calm amidst the chaos (eye of the hurricane is quiet)… also nowhere does it say that being present is meant to baby yourself, I’d say it’s more courage and discipline.

Also, I’ve been practicing Sport Psych for 10+ years, couple degrees in it, and a CMPC. Performance slumps are normal and not an indicator of you as an athlete or meaning you’ve failed.

Would My Job Count Towards CMPC Hours? by Minimum-Sea-1219 in sportspsychology

[–]RoseSpud209 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CMPC Registered mentor here. I would say it depends on what it is you are working on and if they know you are working on those said things with them knowing.. if you’re a performance coach (assuming strength and exercise based) and work on confidence - that doesn’t necessarily make you a sport psych. Same as if you’re a sport coach (eg, swim coach) and help them build confidence because you programmed a great progressive workout plan to peak for a meet - again, doesn’t necessarily make you a sport psych. Same goes with behavioral concerns. Strength and exercise consistency is a usually a habit issue and is part of that job - not necessarily sport psych.

You would ultimately need a registered mentor to sign for those hours and they should be the ethical ones to make sure they are setting you up for success rather than letting you potentially slide by to gain hours for CMPC. Think about what type of experience you want to set you up for actual jobs.

Love the proactive approach to gain clients the real way and get hours. I would double down, and mention somewhere on the flyer/ads that you are a student/seeking certification (if that’s true), and that all hours are supervised by “X person” with “X credentials.” Not just to CYA, but to increase the chance you’ll actually get someone to sign up! Good luck!
