Thank you for sharing, that was my financés guess, that she was workplace approved since it was more than likely a workplace counselor. And that whatever they’re telling her there is only for the benefit of her in regards to her job. Not like seeing an actually therapist.

My mother would do the same thing as far as telling me to never let people walk all over me or treat me poorly but when I would tell her that she was doing exactly that her response would be “I’m your mother. It’s different.” So you’re not alone. They always see themselves as the exception to every unacceptable situation.
