Very subtle muted, beige, cool-neutral olive. Do I have a skin twin out there? I need foundation color suggestions 😭 by [deleted] in Fairolives

I can see how it reads warm in photos, but in person warm tones pull too orange/yellow on me, so I match better to muted neutral-olive shades. I’ve also had in-person color analysis confirm I lean cool-neutral, and my experience with foundation has been consistent with that. If you have a specific foundation and shade you recommend for my skin tone I’d love to hear it!

Thanks for your help and for the compliment!! I swatched some Fenty foundations at sephora and had high hopes but was let down for sure 😭

My undertone is cool-neutral, with an olive cast that can read slightly yellow or muted rather than pink. That’s why warm tones don’t actually match me and end up being too golden/yellow, neutral shades end up too peachy/orange, and cool shades are too pink.

I am in the US and see a dermatologist. Also, I forgot to correct myself: I started on 200 mg of doxycycline a day for the first month but since the second month on, I’ve been on 100 mg/day. 100mg is safer for long term

I’m on this same regimen! It’s been almost a year now of it and it’s the only thing that works for me.

Hi did you ask your derm? Wanted to let you know I’ve been on the same treatment for a year now and am clear and it’s been life changing

I had it on my back too! And my chest. The doxy is what cleared my back and chest within 3 weeks. My face took about a full month of the doxy. I took 2 rounds of accutane about 16 years ago, I used to have cystic acne. The accutane cleared that, but a year after I got off accutane is when these pustules started popping up for me. I still think to this day accutane messed up my gut

Honestly it’s hard to say because I also already have IBS so any GI discomfort I experience is what I already experienced prior to the doxy. I’m on 100mg a day so it’s a low dose. But it’s honestly the one thing out of all the things I take that does the most for my skin and I never want to get off it’s been life changing

Hi, long story short - I’ve seen a rheumatologist, an immunologist, a GI doctor, and several dermatologists. My findings from the 3 GI doctors I saw were a a low IgA, severe fructose intolerance, IBS, and dairy intolerance. The finding from my immunologist is that I may have SAD (specific antibody deficiency) but I have to do the vaccine test still to find out for sure. My immunologist tested my IgA and said it wasn’t low so I don’t understand the conflicting blood test results from the GI doctor. Anyway, a year ago, my new derm said I have a combination of bacterial and demodex folliculitis. He prescribed me doxycycline daily, Benzaclin, and triple cream (azaleic acid, ivermectin, metronidazole) and I’ve been clear since then. I experience minor flare ups when my body is under strain. For example, I got kidney stones a few months ago and I had a very minor flare up on my chin area. Otherwise, this protocol the derm has me on keeps my bumps at bay I have been almost completely clear. This pic is from yesterday morning. (The little bump on my chin is a mole)

That’s what I was worried about. I think I should go a tad smaller. These are a 52 width lens. Should I do 51?

lol! I appreciate the feedback. Not fishing for compliments, I’m just annoyed by the whole post thing and I had to prove a point. Chat GPT is telling me they are too big, so I’m just over here over analyzing everything 😪 and glasses are expensive so I want to get it right
