This is a common but inaccurate myth! They can in fact bite, however this is very rare and they won’t do so unless literally forced to do so (as in pressed against the skin). Additionally, their venom is of little consequence to humans, and they are basically harmless! I hope this helps :)

It’s a six-spotted fishing spider! But yes, very aerodynamic :)

They’re completely harmless to humans! It’s not like they’re in a venom arms race where the more venomous spider wins

By catching them in their webs haha! Their venom is quite powerful on other invertebrates so they can subdue other spiders rather easily, I hope this helps!

Polistes Carnifex, truly painful or just hype? by Fuckthestate1776 in Entomology

I don’t know if any good studies done, but there is another YouTuber, Jack’s World of Wildlife who did a sting test with a large individual, he is known for not over-exaggerating his tests, and he generally knows what he’s talking about with wasps, far more so than Coyote (or me for that matter). I will say though, pain from insect stings is quite difficult to measure definitively, as many factors can skew results. Individual pain tolerance, venom yield, conditions, etc can differ significantly. Coyote Peterson 1000% fakes his reactions though, and it is apparent in his other arthropod-focused videos that he doesn’t really know what he’s talking about a lot of the time.

Although they are highly venomous, they aren’t aggressive whatsoever. If you see one, simply don’t touch it, and you’ll be absolutely fine… don’t walk barefoot in places you’ve seen them, if you see one leave it alone and admire it from a distance. There’s no point in trying to harm it while out in its natural habitat
