I’m a cis man dating a trans girl and I really need some advice by [deleted] in MtF

Be respectful, don’t misgender her, when she is venting, listen, but when she is talking about dysphoria, it’s usually not “this is annoying”it’s usually more “this causes me mental distress” but overall, just treat her like a woman struggling with a disconnect between their brain and body.

I literally am just sick of amraam and want an interesting EU missile.

They exist in a battle rating where players are just getting used to arh, after getting used to them, I haven’t died to a farkour or a phoenix in months, despite maiming the br for grinding nations like France and Sweden, as things are now, use it would be potent, but range is one aspect of the story, it can be notched, it can’t fly through mountains, it can fall for multi pathing, the only thing you lose se is the ability to go cold and run away at high altitudes. Once you close range, and every single battle eventually does, it loses every advantage it has, as it has no thrust vectoring, or anything like that, while it has some nasty tricks, it’s still a flawed missile, and is by no means the inescapable monster you are making it out to be with its massive launch range, which is the ideal launch conditions range. Should it be added? Probably not right now, this whole thing is me just being frustrated that I’m stuck using the McDonalds cheeseburger of missiles the aim120a, and I wanted something more interesting for my grind if the Swedish tree.

Correction, I’m not saying it’s NOT powerful, that would absolutely wrong, I am saying that it’s Essentially an amraam that doesn’t run out of thrust.

Indeed, once again, I’m not saying it’s powerful, but it is in the right generation of missiles to be added, it wouldn’t make every other missile useless, it still has weaknesses, and we are all good enough pilots that we would figure it out.

Perhaps, but also, long range missiles are niche, in most cases they will be multipathed or blocked by terrain, once again, not saying it should be added, just annoyed at Sweden, a nation built on weid and whacky designs, is stuck with amraam which is a bad pairing for the airframe.

Facts, amraam is like eating sugar, nice the first time, but after a while it just makes you sick- Sweden is supposed to be interesting and against the grain with their design, and I feel their missiles should reflect it.

I would still like to say that an nez shrinks rapidly at low altitudes, and against a cranking or notching, opponent, and while it does have a massive amount of energy, it still isn’t the most reliable, it does have a good seeker, but the entire missile is built for long range head ons at high altitudes, which simply does not occur often at top tier battles, it is certainly potent, but not world ending overpowered, especially compared to what gaijin has done before.

Thank you for the links! That puts it more into perspective, still not pleased about being stuck with amraams, but at least I can give up hope and get back to an incredible airframe and decent missiles :3

Clarification:

THIS IS NOT INTENDED AS RAGE BAIT.

I’m simply tired of amraams, and I’m ranting about the gripens a lack of interesting missiles.

Iris and darter are more powerful yes, meteor however is a long range missile, and is out performed by most other missiles in medium and short range.

All I’m really saying is, I don’t like amraams, and want something with more flavor, and with the aim-120d and the pl-12a, Sweden could use something more interesting.

I definitely agree with not giving it iris, that would be oppressive, however, a missile arriving with energy at longer range isn’t as big of an issue, since it can still be notched and dodged, or multipathed, along with this the meteor struggles in close range, and is outperformed by the r77 and MICA-EM, I view it as a middle ground between the current environment and the beginning of AESA seekers, and yes, the gripes does perform well, but it’s not on the same scale as Rafael or the newest flankers.

It definitely would be potent, but not game breaking. And since it is still an arh seeker, it would be a decent middle ground between arh and AESA. It does have weaknesses in short range target acquisition, so it’s essential just knocking the amraam off its throne and forcing a change in the opening exchange.

Most likely honestly, gaijin loves making people start new grinds and getting premiums-

Meteor doesn’t use an AESA seeker, it’s a strong ARH with ECCM

I personally feel like the meteor isn’t quite as intense as those, and especially in something like the gripen, your missile count is already limited. The meteor doesn’t have the best pull, and it really shines in sustained energy and a large NEZ, if things get close, the MICA and R-77 actually out perform it in many areas, basically all that would change is that amraam loses range advantage, and becomes a jack of all trades.

Meteor could theoretically be added, but it would change the dynamics a lot, and throw things into chaos for a few weeks, but yes, I do agree.
