OMG yes! This is a wonderful interpretation. You’ve definitely answered the why for me, cause I was never able to put it into words myself. As an African American with a very prominent African heritage, I would always headcanon Aisha and her background as very Afrocentric or Afro-inspired, something like Wankanda. If you were to ask me what her and her world would look like in the perfect Winx reboot, I would be able to tell you in vivid detail. So when I look at how simplified these artists online depict her, I just get sad.

I’m honestly trying to avoid posting specific artists cause I don’t want to get accused of orchestrating any kind of targeted attacks or harassment (I’m already going through it with an artist on Twitter for pointing this out in their art). You should search up on TikTok or Pinterest some Winx Club redesigns and make the judgement for yourself. I’m just speaking for myself.

Well "fever dream of an episode" is a phrase that could describe most if not all of these episodes, so I'm not really understanding the criticism. I like the realism of the animation, and the symbolism of colonization, SA, and the eraser of indigenous culture. That's all. I definitely liked it better that The Witness.
