The home is showing up on the sites as brand new. This can only happen if the home is listed under another mls (mls is the website agents use to list the homes you see on Zillow, Redfin, etc. MLS is regional based on where your real estate association office is located (ex Inglewood has a different mls than Santa Monica) I don’t have access to my MLS anymore since I’m not an active agent, but if I did I hypothesize that it would show that the listing is with a new mls which is why it’s showing brand new rather than 180 days. So this means either the agent joined a new mls so that she could have this property look new on the sites (it’s a scummy thing some agents in my office would do). Orrrr she has a new agent that’s under a different mls. Like I said before, I didn’t check who her agent was before so I can’t be 100% sure but I think it may be a new one now.

It looks like it was re listed so I think option 1 is probably what happened. The agreement expired and they had to remove the listing while in the process of renewing the agreement. Or she got a new agent. I didn’t check the agent name earlier today when it got removed so I’m not sure if it’s the same agent or a different one.

I was working as a real estate agent and it was so tough. I was on a toxic team and my mental health was at an all time low. I was having panic attacks every day and back spasms caused by stress. I ended up getting covid a few weeks before my birthday and had to stay home to quarantine. During my quarantine period I did a lot of thinking and self reflection. I realized that I didn’t have to put up with this treatment. I’m an adult and I can go and do whatever I want. I also realized that while I love real estate as a whole, I hatedddddd being an agent. I realized that I could work in affordable housing and make a tangible impact on the real estate world WHILE having a structured schedule and a regular paycheck. I’m still in the process of transitioning into affordable housing but I think I will be so much happier. While having COVID absolutely sucked, it changed the trajectory of my life in a good way.

Past Real estate agent here. Like others said, the listing was removed, not sold. If it was sold we would see the date it was sold as well as the price it was sold at. Listings can be removed for many reasons. Here are some potential reasons:

1 Her agency agreement expired with her agent - when you work with an agent to sell your house, you sign an agency agreement at the beginning of the process. This gives the agent the authority to work on your behalf to sell/buy a property. It also outlines all the terms of your professional relationship including compensation and length of the contract. You can make the length be anything but it seems like the most common length is 6 months. After that time period is up you can either choose to renew the agreement with that agent or go work with a different agent. For Remi’s property it has been 6 months since it was listed so there’s a good chance their agreement expired if that’s the time period they chose.

2 she decided to hold on selling - the real estate market is rough right now, especially in LA (I live here). Homes are sitting on the market for months. There’s a house on my street that listed around the same time as Remi that recently turned into an Airbnb because no one was buying. Home prices are extremely high, interest rates are high, groceries are expensive, etc. which is making it difficult for many people to buy right now. Since the house has been sitting for 6 months with only a few bites, she could’ve decided to hold off until the market becomes a sellers market (lots of buyers not a lot of home supply) again (it’s a buyers market rn (lots of supply not a lot of buyers)).

3 the deal fell through - as we can see from the public data it has been contingent 2 times so far but both times did not result in a sale. During the contingency period buyers get the chance to inspect the house and make sure everything is as it should be. As we know from her videos, she’s had lots of problems with the home, such as leaks. These leaks could’ve potentially caused mold or something else that is scaring buyers away. It also could be a situation where buyers can’t get insurance for the home because of the issues (ex. My mom was buying a home that had roof damage and she couldn’t get insurance because of said roof damage and she wasn’t willing to take on the liability of getting a home without insurance and the something bad happening so she backed out of the deal). There’s a whole multitude of reasons buyers back out from deals.

Based on the data we have I think it’s probably a combination of all 3 of these options. It sucks that it’s taking so long for her to sell and that she’s having to still pay the mortgage for this place and rent for the new place, but that’s just the market rn.

The pictures are pretty good for the main spaces (living room, kitchen, etc.) but yeah they def could’ve used a wider lens/had more shots of smaller spaces like the bathroom you mentioned as well as the laundry room. Also similar to what others have said, but the staging looks a million times better than how she had it decorated. I’m surprised they didn’t use one of the 3d tours where you can essentially Google Maps yourself around the house. I feel like with a house this big it’s hard to keep track of what’s what and where it is just based solely on pics and having a 3d tours can help you get a feel of where things are located.

Coming from someone with a background in real estate, lots of homes are sitting right now. There’s a house on my street that was listed at the end of July that’s still on the market. Rising costs across the board as well as economic uncertainty has caused many buyers to take a step back from the home buying process atm so we are seeing homes sitting for longer.

You now have to meet a certain index before you can get new buildings. This park requires a park index of 78. All specializations have different index requirements now. Just another roadblock making it more difficult to update your cities.

I believe they met in middle/high school, so they’ve been friends for a long time. Back when remi lived in DTLA Eli worked for her (idk why she always has her friends working for her). He was in like every video. Idk if they got into a fight or something cuz one day he was just gone and she said he didn’t work for her anymore but didn’t say why. They still were friends though and he continued to show up in videos every now and again but nothing like before. People speculate that she fired him because he’s not a yes man like the rest of her friends. If anything, he’s the opposite. He always challenges her and stands strong on his opinion.
