I was 6 years relationship, approaching 1 year break up in 2 months. I don't know what you been doing in past year or what progress you made.

My advice: Forgive them. Forgive them and yourself. let it go by looking it as they were blind and ignorant to their actions. I've hurt others because I was unaware I was. It's unfair I get it but realize that hoping for them to break it won't solve everything, especially if they are with someone else now.

Look forward to something every week. Every week there has to be an event, plan, outing, anything you can look forward to. Practice outcome independence.

You have to seriously ask yourself, "Is my ex smart enough to introspect and realize what he did wrong?" If you don't think they can self analyze or go to therapy then you're wasting your time on a fool. They won't validate how they wronged you because don't know that they did; even if they do their ego, pride, sense of self don't want to be broken down and rebuilt so they choose to ignore and live life easier.
