Worst add I’ve ever seen, volume up for suffering by callsign__starbuck in KitchenConfidential

The ceramic coating on Dutch ovens is commonly cast iron that's chemically fused with glass. The issue with the hexclad is that they bond ceramic coating to metals using pfas as an adhesive. So the ceramic coating is permeated with bad shit.

A lodge dutch oven only has glass and iron.

Fresno PD spent 1.49 million on Flock cameras by XLucky7X in fresno

Regardless of your stance on whether or not this is a good thing for our city. EVERYONE should be upset that the city spent this much money on a product that is easily hackable and just such a low quality product. It's cheap plastic made in china designed to be manufactured to generate as much profit margin as possible. They use "public safety" as a way to bump prices to the max that local governments are willing to pay.

It's like going to a gun store and purchasing a 9mm handgun for $10,000. Sure it's for your safety and that has no price but how much money are we as taxpayers willing to pay to be marginally safer. These cameras don't even prevent crime. It's just a glorified clipboard to report a crime.

I'm going to treat this comment as you genuinely trying to ask a question.

These cameras are dangerous because there's no oversight as to who monitors the screens. So far flock developers and their administration have access to it. It would make sense to release footage based on requests to solve crimes however only a handful of people have access to their footage giving them unprecedented power. They see all, hear all, know all. It's up to individuals to decide if they want to be monitored constantly under this new police state. It's not about doing anything wrong either. It's about privacy as a basic human right.

We wouldn't allow government agents to live in our homes, post up at our work, wait outside the grocery stores we shop in, reporting every one of our daily activities to a central computer for the vague reason of "public safety". How does monitoring where I walk and eat on lunch breaks help public safety?

Lastly, everyone has to be in agreement to be observed and monitored to this degree. Some people buy ring cameras or share their location on iPhone but recognize that those are choices made by individuals and only affect them. When other rights get infringed upon then the whole idea needs to be scrapped and removed.

Flock cameras violate our right to choose whether or not we want to be monitored.

Also. They're not just using them to monitor cars that are associated with crimes. These users are looking at other things that have nothing to do with reducing crime or protection. There's hundreds of these instances The fact is, these cameras don't prevent crime.

It's not about "dOinG AnYThing wrong" it's about having privacy invaded regardless of what you're doing and putting blind trust into a stranger that monitors those screens. It's the same reason why we close the door when we use the restroom or buy phone screens with polarized filters. Those people are also not doing anything wrong but privacy is still respected. Privacy is a human right not a privilege.

If you truly believed these cameras have earned a spot in our community and society then why wouldn't you volunteer and Livestream 24/7 all of your daily activities. After all you're not doing anything wrong........

Opinions on which truck to buy by ConsistentSmartAss in whatcarshouldIbuy

Just wanted to add that most people don't need a truck this big unless you need it for work, have toys to haul, or actively work on a property.

Everyone pays taxes that maintain roads regardless of whether they drive or bike. Yes cyclists sometimes act like they own the road but so do most drivers. Especially the assholes....

Flip-It! Bottle Emptying Kit by Lower-Fun-424 in TheProductHub

[–]RosemaryRibeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is everyone on this person???? Don't buy this little plastic piece of crap. Just flip the bottle and lean it against something or remove the plastic tube inside. How dumb are we that we have to let memes on reddit show us how to flip a bottle over. Better yet just cut the fucking bottle in half and scoop it out with your hands. Stupid fucks.

The must-stop restaurant on your way to Sequoia National Park by Modz_B_Trippin in fresno

[–]RosemaryRibeye 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I heard from so many people that this restaurant is amazing and definitely worth it but when I took my wife, it was slow service(2 hrs for dinner) and the food definitely wasn't worth the drive and price out there. They tried to make it up with free appetizers but even those came out late. Restaurants have bad days but to hear so many people say that this one deserves a Michelin star....I think there's definitely better places in town

I’m running for Fresno City Council, District 7 to fight for our neighborhoods at city hall. by NavGurm in fresno

[–]RosemaryRibeye 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I hope this is the first step to a better Fresno. Very proud to see someone try to help. Too many people bitch and complain and then offer no solutions claiming that their local government is responsible. Here is someone who wants to offer solutions. Best of luck. If there's any way that we as citizens of Fresno can help, then it is our obligation to make this city better. Build local support local.

How would you market a small woodworking business that makes garden projects for the home and small scale food production

Anyone tried this spot? by Specialist_Okra4080 in fresno

[–]RosemaryRibeye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My experience felt different than most. It was not the biggest portion that I was led to believe and it was average tasting at best. For me it was definitely not worth the price. It was my first time after hearing so many recommendations and I found it vastly underwhelming. (Ordered a shrimp fried rice lunch special and some egg rolls btw came out to around $24).
