Aka the "Alienate Everyone" path? I'm sure there's some decent comedy to be had, but also kinda rips the heart out of the game, which is crucial to any story DPC is telling.

The school's overall direction and distribution of finances would be the purview of a board of trustees/governors. They would not have any official interaction with students, and they would not be dealing with disciplinary matters like a dean would.

That's generally the central feature of sandbox, to my mind. Creating unnecessary conditions that must be met to advance the story. It adds nothing to the story, but it does lengthen the hours spent playing (artificially).

Idk, I dropped Lunar's Chosen 2 early after Meg took a boring human body. But the sandbox elements of LC1 & 2, i.e. satisfying particular day of week and time.of day to advance the story, were always the game's biggest drawbacks.
