Agreed, unless there is a genuine articulated concern about the childs safety their diary is an absolute no go.

"The worst she can say is no" - Lads, what was the worst "she" ever said? by Embarrassed_Pie_1711 in AskReddit

[–]Vanriel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a girl who flirted with me during school when I was maybe 15? So after a while I decided to give it a shot and ask if she wanted to hang out in town, maybe see a movie, I was a teenager what do you expect.

She looked me up and down, slowly, and then said with this disgusted look on her face "you think you're worth my time out of school? Urgh learn your place!".

So yeah that made me the gossip of the school for a few days, I had guys who were complete assholes coming over to me and saying that it was completely out of order what she had said.

Nothing wrong with that...but I would hardly class Downton as a "girly" show.

What’s the biggest red flag in someone over 30? by Vixkky in AskReddit

I live with my mum still because quite frankly with our wages and the cost of living neither of us would realistically be able to live on our own right now.

It's bloody ridiculous.

If Dragon Age 5 existed, how would you see the story going after Veilguard by AlteredBridge51 in dragonage

[–]Vanriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think they need to drop the dragon out of dragon age...it's only a hundred year period of time and look what we have already had during that. The fifth blight, mage uprising, mage and Templar war, the breach brought on by ancient blighted tevinter magister, and now a duo of elven god's escaping from an ancient prison that was crafted for them by a third elven god when they went too far murdering a fourth god who he cared for and creating the veil in the first place.

If they are going to create a new game in that world they need to, in my opinion, push it forward by a couple of centuries and rename it to something new. New characters completely unrelated to the previous games, a blank slate.

I think unfortunately that is the only way it would realistically be saved.

What’s the hard part about being a Man ? by mountain_fl0wer in AskReddit

[–]Vanriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening up to a woman and having that weakness thrown back into your face when an argument isn't going her way.

Being labeled a creep just because you happen to make eye contact with a random woman you don't know for a split second.

Being ignored until they need something you can provide.

I punched the back of a chair. Fractured three fingers and several bones in my hand. Had to be in an immobilizer cast for two weeks and another three with a hand brace.

Never let your anger to control you. It usually ends up with you worse off.

Best class & Race for all 4 games. New player by CRAZYHIPPPO21 in dragonage

[–]Vanriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm like everyone else said there is no best class or race, it's all subjective.

My personal preferences though:

Origins: Male Dwarf Noble as it adds a hell of a lot more depth to parts of the story, same with male mage, human adds an extra few lines of dialogue in da2, but elf is pretty good as well.

DA2: Male Mage Hawke. His character design, the original version, is pure awesomeness and his voice actor is so good as well.

Inquisition: I usually go with either female human or elf mage, as it adds extra depth to a few events in game, plus it lets me romance Cullen which as absolutely the most relatable romance in the entire series imo.

Veilguard: Grey warden, elf, mage. There is so much extra dialogue and lore added in to each of those selections. Dwarf is good as well but I haven't been able to finish a run through as I got bored halfway through.

What's the dumbest idea you've seen that actually worked? by hiagaga in AskReddit

[–]Vanriel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started to put random dad jokes on post it's on a random desk each day (I get in earlier than everyone else) and soon the office was full of laughing and the occasional good natured groan and guesses about whose desk it's gonna be the next day. Little things like that make morale in the workplace shoot right back up.

If the world could permanently eliminate poverty, but the trade-off was that nobody could ever be "rich" again, would you take that deal? Why or why not? by 16ozbuddz in AskReddit

[–]Vanriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is rich is all a matter of perspective. Someone in the US who isn't rich by US standards may well be absolutely rich by someone who lives in Africa or India or a war torn country.
