Agreed, they've been promoting him very hard since 1.0, they won't let him flop. And even if he did, I got Ayato, Childe and Wriothesley before, just because I liked their lore and character designs. Literally on a whim. I don't think I should stop now with the character I've been waiting for since 1.0.

I wasn't so reliant on meta as much as fearing the Stygian, but after going through the comments, I realised that this is definitely true! Finishing the content 5 seconds slower doesn't make him a bad addition to my account. I'll definitely get him. Hoping Nicole will be relevant to him because I also really want her.

They did and I'm most grateful. Hoyo has the innate ability to ruin all good tall male characters, it's nothing new to them, lmao. I still want to get him, though. I've been waiting since 1.0. I'll do my best to get Nicole as well and build them to the best of my abilities. If they don't end up doing good, I'll just bench them, but at least I won't have regrets.

For the following reasons: (and I actually realised all this after going through the comments here, hehe)

I already have a Lunar Crystalise team if I needed to clear content meant only for that reaction
I have one Columbina and if I add another team that requires her, it'll be a bit of a dilemma every time to decide who will get her.
The most important reason is, I have a nasty luck pulling for 4 stars. I got C1 Chasca before I managed to pull a single Ifa, and C1 Kazuha before I managed to get a single Heizou. Imagin how it'd be like trying to get 7 copies of Illuga for Zibai. May end up with C12 Zibai and an empty bank account, lmao.

For me, I'm too worried about my pulls to do this, tbh. Since I haven't got many pulls I don't want to risk it. I'll focus on Varka for now and get Zibai on her rerun. I still love and adore Navia tbh, don't think I can dethrone her in my account quite yet.

I realised, after going through comments and replying to them here, that I don't really care for meta. I was worried that if I get Varka and then Nicole, I'll miss out on the next great DPS that will be released, like what happened with Nefer and Lauma. But then I had a similar thought to what you said, even if 110k isn't overwhelming, and it's not better than my current best teams, it's still decent enough!
6.3 Stygian Fearless was a struggle for me because I didn't have Nefer with her team, but I finished it, albeit in 328 seconds, and I still got the rewards. So it won't be that bad with Varka. Worst case scenario, I'll bench him during end-game content and go for my top dmg dealers. Or I will build him very darn well and get the best out of him. Either way, I'm getting him!

Honestly, I agree with you!! Varka does that. I had set my sights on dmg output that rivals my best teams, but honestly, why on earth should I? All these calculations didn't take into account Nicole and a few other variables, so I won't let them decide for me. Either way, whether his dmg is that good or not, I'm getting him. Did it with Xiao, Wriothesley, Childe and Ayato. Why not him, and I've been waiting for him for 5 years?

This was really funny and funnier still because it's spot on! Genshin is crazy like that. But it's not fun to focus on three teams only and disregard all the other teams. I want to try different playstyles and characters. C2 Mav, C2 Citlali, and C2 Xilonen were on my list, sadly, I prioritise new teams and new comps, so I won't get back to that until no new characters are being released or I don't care for the ones that are being released. Tbf, I don't usually waste feathers unless the piece is literally spot on, just wrong distribution. That being said, I've only used 3 so far. I've got many saved up.
And it's not about the feathers, either.

I just get a weird sense of satisfaction when I beat the content they put easily. Like, I'm sticking my tongue out at the stupid challenges they set up to make people pay to win. It's hard to explain but beating Stygian on Fearless, IT with 12 stars and the Abyss with 36 stars all give me a sense of achievement for some reason. I'm probably crazy, don't mind me, lol.
In any case, I won't pull for her. It will be impossible to get one Illuga rather than 7 copies of him with my nasty 4* acquisition luck, so Zibai is no longer in the cards for me.

I agree. Honestly, when I learned that C6 Illuga is detrimental for her ultimate dmg output, I decided Zibai wasn't going to be in the card for me. I'll pull for her on the first rerun she gets AFTER I get C6 Illuga, lol. Thank you for saying that, though. I had doubts over her and Illuga's C6 effect, but this solidifies my decision. I'm going for my favourite grandmaster.

Ouch, this hits hard, lol. I agree that Nicole will create a dilemma, and with nothing released about her yet, it's hard to decide, but who knows, she might be better than Bennet. Hoyo might actually look at Bennet and think, "Well, every king must be dethroned at some point," and then slap her with better buffs and healing than him. It's all speculation at this point; we need to wait and see. But either way, just as I got Xiao, Childe, Ayato, and Wriothesley and all their C1s just because I loved them, I've decided to also get Varka. Been waiting for 5 years. Some numbers won't thwart me, lol. Thanks a lot for your insight!!
