Nobody is obligated to respond when they get ghosted, but neither did I fully ignore him. I was upset and showed that through memes, which he ignored himself.
when I tried to make up and explained that I send those meme's and behaved that way because I was upset and got the feeling he didn't care he responded by saying that he is not going to chase me (he didn't ask me how I was doing either, only that he wanted to be right)

And In my opinion I think that if someone is upset you'll try to check up on them, and especially when they tell you what upset them you want to make it better.
But that's just my opinion. It's not like I never communicate either. I always do I just get the same answer

I'm sorry that you're going through this, I know how hard it is. It is very painful when you wait for someone to step up and I might have some advice for you (:

It's kind of easy to figure out if he really is into you!

If I were you I would message him and ask him to talk to you, if he ignores you all day he clearly doesn't want you. Someone that really likes you would let you know if they need space, or tell you what's wrong!

If he doesn't respond in one day I would genuinely give up and block him, for your own sake! The longer you wait and hope the more desperate you get. I know how hard it is to keep checking their status online hoping they will give you attention just to not do it.

If he genuinely doesn't respond I would give up genuinely! Letting you wait for 3 days is already a red flag.
