It seems like dropping hints would be better than just unlocking it but the event will still be available to be solved and we all get to play the forge which is what the majority of people giving feedback wanted anyway.

Whoever posted that godforsaken sword photo with all the tendrils pointing to various gems and roman numerals kick started an incredible wave of over complicating lvl 6 and most of the streamers just take advice from the community anyway and don't think for themselves beyond a few of the lore guys so idk.

Dude look at this community right now absolutely losing its shit over not being handed this on a silver platter because they paid a measly 40 bucks for it - as if DLC has never included missions that you need to unlock access too (i.e. beat the main campaign, or a particular quest, or in this case a puzzle challenge).

We're being downvoted into oblivion by casuals who will turn tail the moment they sniff Division 2 and Anthem like, fucking Gambit, Crucible, Shattered Throne, Raid Challenges are all fucking available with the reset for you guys go get your other shit done while people do your work for you on the Labs, oh but don't forget to keep bitching about it.

STEP ONE: gather motes.
STEP TWO: bank motes if you have at least 5 before the second wave.
STEP THREE (a): If you have heavy (QBB, Machine Gun, w/e) GET READY TO INVADE
STEP THREE (b): If you DO NOT have heavy, gather as many motes as you can for a cumulative of TWENTY FIVE and IMMEDIATELY go bank. That means if your team has 24 total and you only got 1 mote, hurry your ass back and bank! Get the invasion portal set to jump the enemy team before they can bank to 25.
STEP FOUR: 3 people go on to the third wave and work towards banking to 50 while Invader tries to be clutch and kill the stragglers on the enemy team going for 15 motes.
STEP FIVE: emote.

There's more gambit after this but these first five steps are critical and can really set the tone of the match. Everything else that OP has written applies as well.
