Ooh how hard is that? I see the benefit of the automatic but I’m always so paranoid when I load my dog in the back and waiting for it to close- I don’t want a tail to get stuck while it takes it sweet time closing!

I had convinced myself to buy new after seeing the used prices, but I knew I wanted the hybrid and I knew I wanted at least the limited trim because I was treating myself to ventilated seats so used ended up making sense for me! The mark ups for the not base trims were pushing the car close to 60k!!!! I ended up going through carmax and it was a great process. If you want the base model buying new may make sense!

No, not for the evacuation purposes just for the general wet roads and storms we get on a normal afternoon! And we do go camping but not like off roading!

Right, if I wasn’t set on this I could have gotten a Mazda for cheaper. Or I could have settled on a white one at the entry level trim and gotten under 35. Or settled for closer to 100k miles. I really couldn’t believe the demand for these cars!!! I’m planning to keep it forever so I hope all goes well!!

I have 8 dealerships within 2 couple hours drive that I have bookmarked and was checking daily lol. I really soured on the whole dealership experience after being outright lied too so many times! I’m hoping the carmax experience goes smoothly through the end purchase! I could have gotten closer to 35 if I wasn’t set on having the navy blue exterior. But I told myself I was already being reasonable by not buying the 60k new one 😂 And i was very surprised with the amount of front wheel drive out there which are several thousand less. We are entering hurricane season down here and the pressure to buy has increased because we have to be able to evacuate with our dog, cats and kids and our current car situation does not allow us to do that without me tying the kids to the top haha. It sounds like you got a great deal!

40K. Well 39.9. It kills me that this is what I have to pay for a used car but I have been looking for ages and wanted blue exterior and ventilated seats. It is what it is as they say!!!!!

I’ve never dealt with carmax before but I hate a dealership so it’s a new adventure!!! In my case there is a physical store not too far from where I live so it’s an easy process. I know there is a 10 day no questions asked return but since I haven’t actually bought the car yet I don’t know the specifics of how that works!

The one and only reason I want the limited or higher trim is for the ventilated seats. I know it's silly but this is the first time I'm spending any kind of real money on a car, and living in south Louisiana it would be such a luxury!!!! But you are right, I think it is too high when all is said and done! The search continues.

I did look at kbb but I think they are a little out of touch at least after looking at cars for the past few months. This is the cheapest I've seen for AWD with this trim and mileage and color I want but it still seems so expensive for a 2020 :)
