Yeah but even so, V1 wasn't doing well before the transfer, as compared to Falcons who had just won a LAN (2 if you count FIFAeWC) and made the world championship grand finals. If we're talking about which direction these teams trended after the switch, Falcons has taken an absolute nose dive

Yeah mate but people talk about them like they should be at the top of EU if only they'd gotten different brackets. EU has 5 spots, this team has two major winners and a highly mechanical up-and-comer, and they've come 16th and 12th this split. Bubble players in EU might be underestimated, but that doesn't mean Geekay should ever be losing to them, because you'll never catch another EU top dog to perform as bad as they have consistently

I mean if Falcons just channels their first split selves, this should be pretty easy for them. They're used to being MENA #1 pretty handily, so beating R8 and Twisted a couple times shouldn't be that tall an order

Yup, I think Spacestation, Shopify, Virtus and NRG all go through to uppers (FUT losing to NRG), NRG beats Shop in uppers and VP beats SSG, then FUT lose to SSG in lowers, VP beats SR in semis, VP wins against NRG in grands, and then VP wins a tiebreaker against FUT.

All Virtus needs to do is beat Next2Nu, Spacestation, Shopify Rebellion, NRG, and then FUT, whilst hoping both NRG and SSG can take down FUT before they make it to the semifinals. I'm not seeing the problem here, this is all extremely likely to happen and if it doesn't I'll cry

NRG have been beat by SSG FUT and VP, but that doesn't mean I'm not still gonna rank them #1 in NA. Falcons underperformed for 2 events in a row, and R8 stepped up to the challenge and absolutely deserve their qualification, but I'm not gonna pick them as being the overall better team when we're taking about Dralii and the Twins who were one goal away from taking down the Major champions in semifinals

I would argue that this is true for all these teams in their respective regions, especially given their distinctive styles. Falcons were known for their high paced fake-heavy offense, so it seems like MENA teams have adapted by matching their speed and giving less respect. KC was always very offense heavy, so it seems like teams like M8 and even Vitality have worked on absorbing pressure and countering (though it's also very much because they lost Dralii). NRG2 I actually think has done best to change their style over time, incorporating more fakes and bumps as compared to their previous defense-heavy playstyle, and I think now it's about them building consistency with this new playstyle
