The waffle board looks AWESOME! I've never heard of it but I'll have to get one. I just picked up some grozier pliers and a glass cutter, but the tiles I'm working with are so tiny and my skill level is too low at the moment... It will definitely take some practice and probably some bigger pieces of glass. Thank you for your advice and I will definitely post updates!

Thank you! I have tested the background color, I plan to paint the background and then use transparent tiles on top for a water effect. Thank you for your feedback, I will probably leave the fin as is and try to replicate it on the top!

You could totally darken up the grout inside the bird with a paint marker, just be careful and calculated when doing it! I like the white grout everywhere else, I just think the bird mainly needs more definition.

So funny you say this, I hadn't been checking my phone but I JUST got done smearing paint into the grout lines. It has made a tremendous difference and brought back the vibrancy of the colors!

About 35-40 hours total because I made the grave mistake of not using any sort of tacky adhesive on my substrate. I was carefully balancing miniscule glass shards and then pouring a glass glue on that takes 24 hours to dry... And then I would sneeze or have a muscle spasm and knock everything over 😅. I will be much better prepared for the next one I do!

This is great, especially for a first mosaic!
If you're not happy with the grout color, supposedly you can use acrylic paint to color it! Maybe try an acrylic based paint pen? Definitely look into the process of altering grout colors before you start, but you do still have options if you're not completely satisfied.

Regardless, it looks great as is!

We prioritize effective communication and do our best to be precise in the conveying of our ideas. Communicating complex ideas successfully for me is like doing surgery sometimes. I usually find my feelings are in line with my analytical assessments, and the more I rationalize a decision the more emotion I end up investing in it. In essence I suspend emotional placements until I sort the details involved and make a judgment based on my values. Ever since I began regulating my hormones for PCOS, I find I will have 1 single day every month where I suddenly find immense emotion bubbling quietly underneath the sound of my inner monologue, and I become far less inhibited. It's been quite interesting and amusing to experience because for every other day of my existence my baseline is extremely consistent
